Lots of good things about this hotel, but also a few negatives. A little far out of the city centre, difficult if you can't walk far, but there is a taxi rank opposite the hotel entrance and there were always taxis in there available. Higher up rooms get a lovely view of the rear of the Plaza de Espana. Lovely entrance, though their use of mirrors does make for some confusion, as you initially try to access the reception desk, "through the mirror"! Till you realise, and get called over! Hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. Rooms are not huge, but adequate. Unusual set up, with the wardrobe being part of the dividing wall in to the bathroom. Rooms come with a fridge, kettle, coffee machine, hairdryer and toiletries. Food is good. Service is reasonable. There are often functions taking place, [ weddings, business, celebrations etc], which can monopolise the areas and staff. Swimming pool isn't large, but sufficient and the supply of towels is really well organised. Having had great experiences in the past, of paying quite a bit more, to be in "The Level" area, we'd booked in there, but were a bit disappointed with it. Lovely restaurant, but staff struggled to cope with demand, and often items weren't available, even basic items like de-caff coffee, english tea bags, sufficient tapas and not having enough bottles of drink opened. Not upto the high standard we have recieved in past "Level" accomodation. Very nice hotel generally, but I doubt I would stay there again.

We had a 2 night stay at Melia Sevilla. The check in was excellent at the Level when we arrived on the 5th April and were provided with all the information and some local restaurant recommendations. The Room was a Level Room overlooking the Plaza De Espana and the view was fantastic. The room was a bit dated with some loose floor tiles and a bathroom which was quite dark but overall the level of comfort was very good. We stayed at 3 Melia Hotels all with Level Rooms and with lounge access. I compare Melia Castilla in Madrid and Melia Granada and between the 3, Melia Castilla was exceptional in terms of all aspects and Melia Sevilla comes in next. Please feel free to read my reviews on Trip Advisor. The Level Lounge at Seville was good with all day refreshments and afternoon snacks and Evening Canapes and Drinks. What was lacking was service. On both days the number of staff attending to a full lounge was very low. Often inexperienced young staff members would stand around not clearing tables or replenishing empty dishes. Breakfast at the Lounge was good but again Gloria seems to run the whole place with no one else knowing what they had to do. May be it was because it was the Easter Weekend, and staff were on leave, but I think it would have left a better impression if the staffing was better. It often felt like we were being a bother to serving staff since they seemed under pressure. The Location was excellent . We walked to most of every thing we saw. The Hotel was very busy. The overall experience was positive.

I stayed at Meliá Sevilla in a family room and unfortunately it did not live up to expectations, especially given the price point of €360 per night. The room itself felt quite tired and in need of refurbishment, and the same applied to the hallways, which looked worn and not particularly well maintained. The overall finishing felt rather cheap, which is not what you expect at this price level. In particular, the parental bedroom had a noticeable chemical smell, which made the stay less comfortable than expected. There were also some inconsistencies in service. Amenities for the children, which I understand should be included, were only provided after we had already checked out—and only after we explicitly asked for them. That felt like a missed opportunity to enhance the family experience. On the positive side, the hotel does offer a large swimming pool with a great view, which is quite rare in Sevilla and definitely a highlight, especially for families. The on-site parking underneath the building is also very convenient. Overall, while there are some strong features, the value for money and attention to detail did not meet expectations.
