We had booked 3 nights at the Innside By Melia Valencia Oceanic hotel, as we were going to run the Valencia half marathon. Upon arrival on Friday, we were very professionally welcomed by Belen at the reception. Belen gave us a very informative and good orientation about the hotel, and the usual things about breakfast, fitness, etc. Since we were both going to run the half marathon on Sunday morning at 08:30, we were also told that there was a possibility to get breakfast as early as 05:45 – We both had to open our eyes, we had never experienced that before, and we have been on many trips to run. So already at that time we felt very welcome – and it was interesting whether the service level would continue at this high level.?? The room we were assigned was a standard room with a view of a small street behind the hotel. It was quiet and peaceful, even though there was a restaurant on the nearest corner. The breakfast on Saturday morning was quite satisfactory, so there was ample opportunity to fill up the depots before the trip into town. Sunday morning we were both down for breakfast at 05:45 – and everything was ready, and nothing was missing. So big praise to the staff for this early initiative. When checking out on Monday morning, we were very politely checked out by Artem, and the service level was still high - and so on a Monday morning, when there were many tired runners going home. 😊 In general, we think that a very high level of service was "delivered" from all employees at the hotel. I must also mention the nice girls who cleaned our floor. Always smiling and with a "hola" when you met them 😊.. We were so happy with the good atmosphere and service at the hotel that we are booking 3 nights again in October 26, so that we can come to Valencia and run a half marathon.

Everything about our stay at INNSiDE by Meliá Valencia Oceanic was great. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The location is good, but for us was not ideal.

“A good stay but much room for improvement to hit the level required of a Melia.”

We chose Innside by Melia due to its brand, location and for the pool. It is a clean, smart hotel and the breakfast was great. We chose Innside by Melia due to its brand, location and for the pool. It is a clean, smart hotel and the breakfast was great. It was also much appreciated to be able to upgrade for a discounted price due to this being a birthday trip. The bed was comfortable and room spacious and the hotel is located right by the oceanographic aquarium and science museum with easy options to get in and out of city centre. There are some shortfalls I found during the stay. When storing luggage when the room wasn’t quite ready or after check out, I found it bizarre staff directed me to come back and place my own luggage into storage and also go receive it myself - I have never had this in any hotel where I must store my own luggage behind the desk. Another shortfall is the tv, I found it bizarre there is a volume limit on the tv where we could barely hear it. When this was raised to the front desk, they advised nothing that can be done and is normal. I was also quite disappointed with the pool area. Images online of the area mislead you to believe the space is much bigger than reality and this was a shame to see. Location pf said pool also does not have a huge amount of sun time. With this all said, the hotel is of good quality and a good stay but there is improvement to be made.
