I only stayed in this hotel for one night and found it really good value for money. The location is fairly quiet, close to a bus terminal (not the main one), and well located with respect to restaurants, the metro and bars. The rooms are fairly spartan though comfortable enough and very clean. There was good air conditioning in the room. Price was 800 bolivares for the night (approx. $5 at the prevailing black market rate). The main issue is that there is no running water from 8pm - 6:30am due to the current shortages plaguing the city. Other hotels in the area will probably have running water during the night but will be more expensive and not necessarily higher quality (I stayed at the nearby La Floresta for double the price on another occasion and apart from the water is was of a lower standard than Hotel Altamira). This may be a temporary problem but in any case the staff will be able to provide you with a bucket of water to wash yourself if you get desperate. The hotel has a wi-fi in the lobby. The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly which sets it apart from the nearby La Floresta and Residencia Monserrrat hotels.

Hotel in a good area, altamira, the best in the city of Caracas. Room 518. Price: 15 euros. during my stay had no water or electricity 24 hours, but the service was correct, they do not speak English. Very good for tourism stays close to restaurants and bars.

I stayed in Hotel Altamira for around 5 months, & stay was Ok, the room was pricey, & it is very hard to get reservation during the weekends, as many young couples descend to CCS for weekend fun, & it is very noisy at that time. I stayed in Hotel Altamira for around 5 months, & stay was Ok, the room was pricey, & it is very hard to get reservation during the weekends, as many young couples descend to CCS for weekend fun, & it is very noisy at that time. Al tough the points are the location, free Ice, & cheap laundry service, & @ the reception Marlene was very helpful, & YES she speaks English, acceptable by Venezuelan standards. My friend who staying along with me in the adjacent room however had his Camera, & some cash stolen, but it was negligence on his part as he left the suitcase open. So in all it is ok far a quick stopover, or if you are on budget.

I was in the hotel for some time for my work. This hotel is a good option if you need a middleclass hotel in a relatively safe area where you can walk around during the day and evening. The staff is underpaid and overworked, but friendly under these circumstances. Rooms can be noisy, especially when the airco is not working or working with lots of noise. So check that out for your room before checking in..
