“Nice place”

Had a great river view. Saw wildlife too. Needed some minor room service and it was provided quickly.

The two-bedroom condos are a bit dark, but the property is beautiful and has elk and deer wandering through! It's also great to have more than one hot tub, as there are options if one is closed for maintenance.

We booked a two bedroom for a visit including my 87 year old mother-in-law who was visiting from out of state. The location was great with a river view from our front door and nearby access to the hot tub (which we didn't use). We were not really impressed with the room we got; the main bedroom had a tiny bathroom with a walk-in shower with a curtain and almost no counter space, just a couple of inches around the single sink. It had an awkward barn door that had replaced a previous pocket door, which seemed out of place. The bedroom itself was fine; comfortable bed but terrible, too-soft pillows. The other bathroom, which was off of the kitchen, had a tub and ample counter space, which was great for my MIL, but was right outside the main bedroom, a 15 step walk from the 2nd bedroom. An elderly person gets up in the middle of the night frequently to use the bathroom, and navigating that 15 steps in the dark was inconvenient. The weather predicted included a snowstorm, which we were prepared for. The 28" of snow that came down over two days kept us indoors watching movies, which were available free from the front desk, and a good variety of choices. Once the snow stopped we were ready to get outside. Unfortunately the walkway outside of our unit had not been shoveled, although a path had been trampled by other guests, which still left us a wide section to step through snow. We encountered several guests who were shoveling their own way out with a borrowed shovel from maintenance. Since our front door was in the shade all day the snow had turned to ice. In order to get out of the unit we had to walk through the snow because the pathway was too treacherous. My MIL uses a wheelchair most of the time, but it was impossible to use in this situation so we assisted her walking in an already precarious situation. I found it preposterous that two days after the storm our access had not been cleared. When we came back later that day the path had finally been cleared and the sun had warmed up enough that the path had melted and was dry. Also, there are no handicap parking spots, so we were unable to park close to our unit some of the time.

“Nice place and won’t hesitate to return for a three- bedroom condo to include the whole family. Appreciate the stream!”

Good location for sure- Estes is wonderful. Nothing wrong but didn’t compare with other world mark properties. No programs. Not helpful when asking housekeepers to ‘come by,’ just asked what we needed and they brought sheets and towels for us to refresh ourselves.
