We stayed here in Bangkok for 3 nights, traveling as two friends from India, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The arrival experience was a little underwhelming. We had emailed the hotel well in advance requesting non-interconnecting rooms, especially since we were two women traveling together. However, we were initially given interconnecting rooms. There was also a large group checking in at the same time, which led to a long wait. I do understand that this may have impacted room allocation, but it still wasn’t the best first impression. That said, once we informed the team, they did move us to another room the next day. Another miss was that we were celebrating my post-birthday, and the hotel had confirmed a small celebration over email. Unfortunately, this was overlooked, and we had to remind them, which was a bit disappointing. I do feel their internal coordination and record-keeping could be improved, as these small details really shape the overall guest experience. Also, since we had to switch rooms the next day, we couldn’t fully settle in from the start. The new room, while better in terms of privacy, had a damp smell that lingered for quite some time. However, I would like to highlight that the team was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. They were quick to accommodate requests and assist whenever needed. One thing to note for fellow travellers is that a deposit of 1500 Baht is required at check-in. As we were traveling with limited converted cash, we requested if it could be returned a day prior to our departure so we could use it locally, and the team was kind enough to assist us with that. The location was definitely a big plus having a 7-Eleven right downstairs, a McDonald’s in the connected mall, and the BTS station just outside the hotel made it extremely convenient for us to get around and pick up essentials. Overall, while there were a few misses, the team’s helpfulness and the convenient location did make a positive difference.
