“Perfect for our stay in Funchal”
We loved our stay at the Barcelo Funchal Oldtown, the location and the room were perfect, the cleanliness was spot on and the breakfast was so good, the only gripe were that the towels needed replacing, not very fluffy and a bit stiff and hard, but after saying that we would definitely return.

“Amazing location, wonderful hotel”
A truly lovely hotel in a fantastic city. Close to the harbour, near numerous restaurants and bars and a short stroll to the cable car. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff excellent.

“Nice and modern hotel with perfect location”
I can really recomend this hotel. It is a very modern hotel with good facilities. Nice and comfort bed and luxury breakfast. Good value for money.

“Excellent location, some issues”
Location very close and accessible to main sites. Reception and main restaurant staff excellent, room clean and spacious, breakfast choice good but room service very variable, breakfast staff unfriendly and quality of towels very poor for a five star hotel.
