Large comfortable well appointed rooms with a big bathtub and separate shower. Friendly staff. But limited English speaking comprehension skills. Be prepared to take taxis to restaurants or where comfortable walking shoes.

Very nice room, large bath with hot shower and separate tub. Good desk, but (as apparently typical of China) if you needed to plug in your computer, you had to unplug the desk lamp. Very nice room, large bath with hot shower and separate tub. Good desk, but (as apparently typical of China) if you needed to plug in your computer, you had to unplug the desk lamp. Quiet air conditioner, non-smoking room, comfortable bed. Regrettably, did not have time to take advantage of any of the amenities outside the suite, but did go for a walk outside the hotel and found that there were numerous shops and restaurants and a rather large mall about 1.5 km away. Convenient to Songjiang Universities area.

Stayed here 5 nights now. The bed is very big and very firm. Feather down pillows and plenty of them. The bathroom has a large shower and tub style bath with usual style sink and toilet. Can have a bath or shower whilst gazing out the large windows. Air conditioning doesn’t cool at all just moves air about but could be turned off due to being autumn. Plenty of lighting choice to suit any mood. Desktop pc in room with good sized desk and chair. LCD tv but only Chinese channels no western tv at all. Good sized wardrobe with secure safe. Mini bar and snack bar in room but quite expensive. Plenty free bottled water each day. Now the bad part. Western style food is very limited and what there is doesn’t taste good at all. The breakfast is buffet style but very strange mixture. Had to stick to fresh fruit and eggs in toast. If you are brave enough to venture out there are several restaurants locally. The staff are all very polite and keep the whole place clean and tidy but lack even basic English. Good job I had google translate on my phone to help out. Wi-fi is available and both free and fast. Very limited sites available due to Chinese rules. Had to rely on my roaming for google and Facebook.

Stayed here for 4 nights on business trip. I got a bedroom with a child's bed and playpen. I asked to be moved to another room but when I saw how small the other room was, decided to keep the much bigger room with playpen. I just used the child bed to put my things which turned out to be just perfect! Bathroom is sufficient size with separate shower and a big tub but there were signs of worn. Service is good, responsive and I can tell they tried to please even when communicating in English was a struggle. Service from staff is the best asset of this hotel. Breakfast buffet is ok but there are a lot of room for improvements. Selection for actual breakfast meal is limited, mostly Asian choices, very limited western dishes available. Immediately upon check in, tried to eat at their restaurant was but was closed. Ordered room service but most of my choices in their menu were not available. If getting a decent meal is important to you, you might want to consider another hotel. Location does not have any place to eat nearby, I have to take a cab to go to a mall for more and better restaurants. Overall my stay is good, nothing special except my spacious room. Proximity to restaurants and shopping is my only problem in this hotel, I have to take a taxi every time I want to eat but the location could be ideal to those who wants to be in a quiet place. Wifi in the room is weak but enough to send text messages, if I want to use wifi calling I have to be in the lobby. Will I stay here again? For a short few days probably, but for a longer visit such as 2 weeks like my usual trips I will return to Old Town.

I stayed there for about three weeks.. I had a nice double room, some spots on the carpet, but that's an argument for another day. The rest of the bedroom and also the bathroom were clean and the both rooms got cleaned everyday. Breakfast was okay, but for me a bit monotonous, because i don't like chinese breakfast I ate the same food all day. :) The fitness center unusable, the equipment was broken and rusty... besides in july its very hot in this region and air condition didn't worked. (When I asked for the fitness center they looked a bit frightened..) There is a interesting neighborhood around the hotel, some restaurants with good food a few 24h shops and friendly people.
