Tremendous experience, great food and fabulous service! Our server, Viktoria, was a true delight and very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed conversing with her throughout the evening making the evening very enjoyable and pleasant.

“White Salon”

Our group of ten had dinner at The White Salon Restaurant which is located inside the New York Palace Hotel. The restaurant was very nice , food and amenities also great. I want to give a special mention to Kata our server. She was amazing and her attention to our needs was perfect.

Outstanding hotel on every level. Location: perfect and in the heart of downtown close to all major transport links and easy walking distance to the Jewish quarter and other areas. Hotel: Stunning. Very elegant and grand. An absolutely beautiful building inside and out. Room were very large and tastefully decorated and all amenities provided with rooms cleaned to a high standard daily and a nighttime turn down service. Staff: Amazing staff and customer service of the highest order. Very pleasant and welcoming, speak excellent English and literally can’t do enough for you. Anything you needed and it would be done with a smile and courtesy. Plenty of staff on hand at all times and they were very patient and knowledgeable. 5 stars to the staff at this hotel. If only the UK and other countries I have visited had staff like this. They were a credit to the hotel and to Hungary. The New York cafe: truly is the greatest cafe in the world. So beautiful and grand it was like dining in a stunning museum. Guests of the hotel get priority booking and if you book a day in advance you get a 10 euro discount on breakfast which was phenomenal value and quality at 25 euros per person with the discount. The breakfast and quality of food was out of this world excellent. I have stayed in many top hotels and none come close to this experience. We ordered as much as we wanted as often as we wanted and the staff met our every need with ease. The eggs Benedict were by far the best I have had. So good in fact, I ate them 5 times during my stay. We had our final dinner in the main restaurant and it was exquisite. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides delicious, the beef jus was unbelievable and the desserts were very decadent but also light and full of flavour. Overall, I would rate this as an excellent 5 star experience on every level. The hotel was the jewel in our excellent stay in Budapest and will be our destination of choice when we go back. My advice would be to book this hotel if you can and forget about the price as you get what you pay for. Also take up the opportunity to dine in the cafe as it was an absolute highlight.
