“Basic comfort in the shadow of Kirkjufell”
As a solo traveler, this was a nice basic hotel that provided a cozy bed, private bathroom, fast WiFi and was walkable to everything in Grundarfjordar. “A hidden gem of a place in a hidden gem of a town!”
This is a wonderful place to stay in an absolutely enchanting town! Grundarfjörður is far better than the guidebooks make it out to be. And the Old Post Office is really the perfect spot. “Nice hotel.. Highly recommend it.”
We stayed here for one night. Very nice clean hotel. It is family run hotel. The view to the ocean and mountain is superb. Try to get a room looking at the ocean. The breakfast is available very near (also belongs to the same family). Cafe Valentina. We loved this place. Highly recommend it.

“Good base to stay while visiting Snaefellsnes peninsula.”
We stayed here one night during our 2 weeks in Iceland. The room was clean and roomy. The shared kitchen is big but we didn’t use it. Good place to stay when visiting Grundarfjordur. I didn’t give 5 stars because this is the first time I have stayed at a guesthouse. I didn’t interact with anyone. … more

“Comfortable Hotel”
This hotel is good for the price but we did hear noise from the common area while staying there. Other guests arrived back at about 9:30 pm to cook so a little tough to fall asleep. Similar early in the morning. The bed was good but the room was a little tight with 2 suitcases.
