I was put into this hotel by the client while I was traveling to work. Coincidentally, I had to stay back in Kaninada to meet up with my extended family. The hotel was good enough to not only extend my stay but also to cancel another hotel which was more expensive than I have booked for myself for my extended stay. All the necessary amenities such as bedding, Coffee counter, workspace (though a little cramped), bathrooms, etc...were well managed with no malfunctioning. The front desk was also helpful in arranging appropriate transport, the morning breakfast is also worth a mention with a fairly wide verity of choices.. All in all, it was a decent stay. with no complaints

“Nice mid range hotel”

I spent three days at this property situated in central kakinada, Rate was ok and worth the price, but I felt the executive rooms are little small, we took royal executive room so it was ok for family with kids, Check in was smooth though room were not ready when we reached, we waited for sometime… more

I spent three days at this property situated in central kakinada, Rate was ok and worth the price, but I felt the executive rooms are little small, we took royal executive room so it was ok for family with kids, Check in was smooth though room were not ready when we reached, we waited for sometime for our respective rooms, 24 hrs check in check out available which is rare and highly convenient, Overall it was a worth stay and service was also good, Looking forward to stay again in our next visit !!!

Rooms are not child friendly. Ofcourse check in and check out were seemless. Food at Flavours of Andhra was fine and reasonable. All in all it was just OK stay at SVN Grand.

“Very Compact room with a bit of patience required ”

I have stayed here for a night. The location of the hotel is in the heart of the city. I had a mixed experience during my stay. Let me highlight them. The biggest challenge is entering the hotel. The reception is in the mezzanine floor and you have to climb the stairs on your own with your luggage. At the reception I was told that we should have left the luggage down and the bell boy would have helped. However it’s not advisable as the hotel is located beside a busy street. I was also told that there is an elevator which goes down. I tried to take it while checking out however the route was manually closed & I had to go up and again take the steps to go out. This is something which I think the hotel should be serious off and not pass on incorrect information to guest. The check in was extremely slow. But the receptionist was very warm and helpfulSomeone coming at 9 pm expects to get to the room fast and the hotel staff should be trained to do faster check in. The room is one of the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The room did not even had a tea/coffee maker. Otherwise there was study table and a seating arrangement. But it was quite cramped. When I entered the room I got a weird smell. It went off after some time once the AC ran for 15 mins. The room also gets very cold due to its size and the blanket was not warm enough. Thus I had to shut down the AC & run the fan in the night. The bathroom was however optimum and compared to the size of the room. The food I ordered was excellent & the first staff I encountered was very helpful. There is no bar inside the hotel and they do not take orders for drinks. But the staff do help in getting them outside if you give them cash. This boy got a beer for me from outside. The breakfast menu was limited. So better be prepared for it mentally. Before I went for breakfast I passed on the room key and asked the staff to check me out & keep the bill ready. Once I was back it was still not done and she started working on it only when she saw me. Again an example of laid back attitude. The staff have to understand (Inspite of being in a small town) that time is money & they have to act swiftly. Next time I am in this town I am looking at other options. Overall an average place to stay
