We stayed here for 21 nights. 2 nights in the trepie room 19 nights in a bee eater room. The trepie room is large with a very small balcony. No bedroom furniture & only 2 electric sockets. The bee eater room comes with a garden but is a lot smaller. Cons: no bedroom furniture, no outside furniture, only one chair in the bee eater room, no fridge in either rooms you have to request one. Our hair shampoo & shower gel was filled with water. Bathrobes we had to ask for. Tea/ coffee should be replenished daily, no it wasn't. Breakfast needs looking at as it's chaotic. Coffee machine was out of order most of the time. The front of house man only was pleasant when the manager stood beside him ( 1 day). Pool: only 2 sunbeds & no umbrella. We were told pool towels not allowed to take to the beach, eastern Europeans were allowed. Pros: bathroom/ shower was excellent, bed lovely, clean room, Breakfast: food was excellent the egg station man was brilliant. Outside: very clean & beautiful garden. 7 minutes walk to beach & shacks. 20 minute walk to the village with loads of restaurants & shops . 2 chemists in village. Meryl on reception was brilliant. We had a great stay but some staff could do with training.

I've been living near this hotel for several years, in the Lotus apartments. I've been to the old Lotus Hotel and seen the rooms. I witnessed the transformation of the old hotel into the Orchid. It looks much better. But when I, accompanied by a friend who was also staying at the hotel, wanted to stop by for five minutes to see her room, they literally wouldn't let me in. What kind of presidential residence is this that requires special permission to enter? Let me clarify that this was during the day, and we behaved reasonably. Secondly, there's a security guard posted at the hotel entrance at all times. What's the point of a small hotel having someone standing in uniform in the heat all shift long? Would it be worse if the guard sat, say, on a high stool under an awning? Such work is fraught with future injuries. I'd like the hotel management to address these shortcomings.

We stayed at the Orchid Passaros for 5 nights which was just about long enough, the hotel is located in a bit of a run down area, the room we had was very clean with a good shower and bathroom, we found the bed comfortable, what the room didn’t have was adequate hanging space for clothing just a me… more

We stayed at the Orchid Passaros for 5 nights which was just about long enough, the hotel is located in a bit of a run down area, the room we had was very clean with a good shower and bathroom, we found the bed comfortable, what the room didn’t have was adequate hanging space for clothing just a metal bar to hand a limited amount of clothes on, it was fortunate that we were only staying for 5 nights and not any longer as you would have been living out of our suitcases, we had left our other suitcase at a rentable property in the south of Goa where other family members were staying. Food at breakfast was good with a nice egg station with a choice of various presented eggs, coffee machine was useless as it kept breaking down, this needs to thrown away and a suitable replacement should be purchased. Pool area was clean but pretty much useless as there were only two sun beds and no other suitable space to put anymore sun beds, the pool bar was pretty much a waste of time unless you wanted to stand up and drink your drinks, bar stools would be good and a small sitting area to the rear of the bar would be an even better idea, sadly not a great deal of thought and planning was given when this area was constructed. The pathways and steps leading to the rooms are in poor condition with chunks out of the steps, all in all the hotel has some good points but are equally matched by its poor one’s.
