Sterling Panchgani is a Lovely 24 Rooms 3 Star Resort located on the top of a Hillock in Ruighar, Panchgani and is about 3 kms from the Popular Parsi Point and about 4 kms from the Panchgani Market, so you definitely need your own Vehicle here, as otherwise it will be very inconvenient to travel around. The Resort however does offer a range of Sight Seeing Services by Car which you can avail of at fairly reasonable rates too. The Resort has a small in-house Restaurant where Buffet Breakfast and other Meals are served. The Restaurant is Tastefully Furnished and Comfortable. The Buffet Breakfast served here has a Very Good Spread with Daily Changes and all the dishes are Freshly Prepared and Very Tasty. Although they do not have a Live Counter, they provide Eggs made to order on request. Being on a Hillock, the Drive up to the Resort is Very Steep and one needs to be careful, particularly at night when there is no proper lighting. It is a Ground plus 2 Storied Structure and if your room is on the 2nd floor, you can walk out straight to your Car in the Vehicle Parking Area, which is right outside the Exit Door and on the same level as well, so this is Very Convenient too, as the Resort does not have an Elevator. The Reception area is Large and Well Furnished and they also have a Large Indoor Games Area with a Table Tennis Table, Carrom Boards, Chess Boards and a few other Indoor Games as well. There is also a nice Music System here where they play Music in the evenings and whenever there are Parties hosted here. Next to the Restaurant on the Ground Floor is a Large Water Cooler from where you can fill up your Water Bottles with Cold Potable Water, which is also Really Good. The Hotel however also provides two 1 Liter Packaged Water Bottles in your Room daily. They also have a bit small, but Very Clean and Well Maintained Outdoor Swimming Pool with a Good Depth of 4.5 Feet and a Waterfall at one end for Aeration and Circulation of the Water. Pool Towels are also provided and there is also a Poolside Washroom for Changing and taking a Shower as well, which is good. Attached to the Pool is a Small Jacuzzi, but this is now only used as a Children’s Pool and not as a Jacuzzi anymore. Next to the Swimming Pool, they also have a SPA offering a variety of Treatments which is good as well. They however do not have a Gym in the Resort. All the Rooms are on the 1st & 2nd Floors. They have Mountain Facing Rooms on one side and Garden Facing Rooms on the other side. All the Rooms have a small but nice Balcony attached with a Centre Table and 2 Chairs placed there to sit out and enjoy the Natural Beauty all around. They also have a few Suites that have a separate Living Room with a Complete Sofa Set as well. The Mountain Facing Rooms, especially those on the 2nd floor are preferable, as the views from here are better. Although there is a Staff Accommodation Block just across the road facing the Mountain View Rooms that Blocks much of the View, you still get a Decent View of the Mountains and a Small View of the Krishna Valley & River at the bottom. All the Rooms are Spacious and Very Well Furnished with a Large King Sized Bed with a Comfortable Mattress & Good Quality Duvet/Pillows, 2 Side Tables, a Sofa Chair with a Center Table, Dressing Table with Mirror and a Wardrobe as well with plenty of Hangers inside. There is also a Flat Screen TV with all Airtel DTH Channels, an Electric Kettle with Supplies and a Chiller (without Freezer) to keep your Beer, Soft Drinks, etc Cool. The Bathroom is also quite Spacious with an Enclosed Shower Area, 24x7 Hot & Cold Water with Good Pressure and the Toiletries provided (Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Wash, Body Wash, Moisturizer, Shower Cap, Sanitary Bag, etc) are all of a Good Quality as are the Bath and Hand Towels as well. The Rooms are cleaned and refreshed daily, all the staff are well trained and very helpful and the Service is Good as well. All in all, a Cozy Little Resort to stay at in Panchgani at Affordable Rates and Well Recommended too.
