Great Property with spacious room & very spacious & clean bathroom. The food spread requires special mention, i have a problem with spicy & oily food but my family loves spice, and i must say that even without asking for any preference, all food including veg and non veg were prepared in a manner that suited all taste buds. 2 observations that i have are on arrival as part of welcome an employee rushed in with a garland type traditional material and tried to garland my wife and daughter, they were visibly unprepared for that as it was probably hushed and usually its a female who does it in other properties, again nothing seriously wrong but can be managed better, the second is when i enquired about transport to the big temple, i was given an auto guys no who quoted an highly inflated price than what i got in uber and also another independent auto. The thing that got me was when i asked at the reception i got a coordinated fare from all present there. Maybe they all know the exact fare that the auto guy will ask from experience. Nobody forced me to take their suggested transport and i eventually went in uber and took an independent ride back. I stayed in 3 other hotels prior in distinct cities in Tamil Nādu as part of the travel and i must state that GRT was the best overall .

We stayed in river view room. Pros: Good breakfast, great service, amazing garden, fantastic pool, cycling available, well-maintained rooms & washroom, complimentary tea/snacks. We stayed in river view room. Pros: Good breakfast, great service, amazing garden, fantastic pool, cycling available, well-maintained rooms & washroom, complimentary tea/snacks. Cons: Bar is not up to the mark. Struggle to get the inclusions which we have already paid in our package. Fans in the restaurant are not enough. Rest assured you will enjoy your stay here.... highly recommended!!!!

Great stay at Great Trails Riverview Resort, Thanjavur. The property is truly unique and one of a kind in Thanjavur, with lots of amenities and a great location near the temples and temple towns. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and responsive, and they handled issues promptly, including offering a room change when a lizard came into the room. Food was excellent — breakfast was sumptuous and dinner had very good classic local-style preparation. A few improvements would make the experience even better: clearer communication about the riverview having no water during certain times of the year, better pricing in the off-season, and stronger sealing to keep out insects and critters during rainy nights. Overall, a great property we would stay at again and recommend.
