Great experience, had a meal had NeelKamal and had the thali which was amazing. They accommodated our rewuests around serving portions and gave us complimentary dishes(which they remembered from the conversation in the afternoon!). Our stay at Taj Lake Palace was nothing short of exceptional. We had high expectations before arriving, but the team managed to exceed every one of them. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were made to feel less like guests and more like members of a royal family. Every interaction reflected the warmth and impeccable hospitality that the Taj brand is known for. A very special mention to Chef Babu, who went far beyond what we could have expected. During our stay, we were observing a fasting day, and he took it upon himself to ensure we never felt restricted. He thoughtfully prepared delicious fasting meals, introduced us to authentic local delicacies that suited our dietary requirements, and even surprised us with wonderful desserts. His care and personal attention truly made us feel at home. The housekeeping team was equally remarkable. Our room was refreshed three times a day-while we were at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It wasn’t just about cleanliness; it was the attention to the smallest details that stood out. Every time we returned, the room felt as if we had just checked in again. What truly sets Taj Lake Palace apart is that the experience extends well beyond the room. The thoughtfully curated guest activities, including the heritage walk, cultural performances, and the iconic boat rides, made our stay even more memorable. The heritage walk deserves special appreciation. The historian conducting the tour possessed an incredible depth of knowledge-not just about the palace itself, but also about the history of Udaipur, the Mewar dynasty, and Rajasthan as a whole. It transformed the palace from a beautiful hotel into a living piece of history. One of the most magical experiences, however, was something beautifully simple. Every morning and every evening, a flautist fills the palace with soulful melodies. We learned that he has been coming here for over 25 years, and listening to him as the sounds echoed across Lake Pichola created an atmosphere that is impossible to describe in words. It was peaceful, timeless, and one of those moments that will stay with us forever. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. It is this extraordinary attention to detail that makes Taj Lake Palace truly special. If I had to describe the experience in one sentence, it would be this: Taj Lake Palace doesn’t just offer luxury-it makes you feel like royalty.
