This was our 4th or 5th stay at The One Boutique Villa & Spa, with our visits spanning more than 12 years, and somehow we still can’t resist its charm. Every time we return to Bali, this is the place we choose, and after more than a decade, it continues to feel just as special as it did on our very first visit. The setting is simply idyllic. Surrounded by lush tropical flora and beautifully landscaped gardens, the villas offer a peaceful sanctuary where you can completely disconnect from the outside world. Waking up to the sounds of nature, relaxing by your private pool, and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere never loses its magic. One of the things we love most is its location. It’s only a short stroll to the main road, giving you easy access to Seminyak’s fantastic cafés, restaurants, and shops. Yet that short walk is exactly what gives the resort its wonderfully peaceful ambience. Being set back from the busy streets means you’re sheltered from the traffic and noise, allowing you to enjoy a level of tranquillity that’s becoming increasingly rare in Seminyak. This year, the hotel has been beautifully reimagined with three distinct villa themes, each offering its own unique character. Intimate provides a warm and welcoming retreat that’s perfect for families and couples seeking comfort and privacy. Luxe delivers a more grand and sophisticated experience with elevated luxury throughout. Heritage celebrates timeless Balinese charm with a rustic yet charismatic style that perfectly captures the island’s character while retaining every modern comfort. It’s a thoughtful concept that gives returning guests something new to experience while preserving everything that has always made this place so special. The recent additions of a fully equipped gym and a dedicated yoga studio offering private lessons are fantastic enhancements. They complement the resort perfectly and provide even more reasons to spend time within this peaceful sanctuary, whether you’re looking to maintain your fitness routine or simply enjoy a private yoga session surrounded by nature. We’ve been fortunate enough to stay at some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotels and resorts across the globe, yet The One Boutique Villa remains, without question, our favourite. It isn’t about having the grandest lobby or the largest resort—it’s about creating an experience that feels genuinely special. The warmth, intimacy, and unique character of this place are unlike anywhere else, and that’s what keeps bringing us back. The villas are spacious, beautifully maintained, exceptionally private, and offer the perfect blend of luxury and comfort.
