2nd times stay after 2 years, the room deluxe suite was comfortable, breakfast was delicious as always. Thank you for the hospitality, but there a bit downgrade for welcome amenities in the room and afternoon tea, but that's fine. Gym equipment very good, I really did enjoy it. “Good to stay”

Everything was perfect but the place is faraway from the main attractions and the neighborhood looks scary. There were 4 restaurants inside the building and were perfect

First of all, the hotel has an excellent location. Centrally located, you can easily get anywhere by taxi, grab, or gojek, or take public transport (Transjakarta bus), which is within walking distance. In the evening, you will find many street food stalls on the street. Rooms are sufficiently spacious and equipped with all kinds of amenities. The breakfast offers a reasonable amount of choice, but unfortunately, compared to other 5-star sister hotels, it offers somewhat less. Additionally, you need to place an order for most dishes, which can take longer, especially when it is busy. However, a plus point is the authentic taste of the dishes. They really taste like local cuisine. All staff are generally friendly. Nevertheless, unfortunately, some mistakes are made or the service is somewhat lacking. For instance, it took too long for dishes and drinks to be served during breakfast. You sometimes had to chase after them 2 to 3 times. Furthermore, it is apparently normal for coffee to be sent to the wrong table only to be given back to you afterwards, because nothing has happened to the coffee. But as a waitress, how do you know if the other guest hasn't done anything with that coffee... And unfortunately, this also applied to glasses that were already on the table, as it seems nothing has been done with those either. Furthermore, another guest had an unacceptable accident during breakfast. His glass shattered while he was drinking, causing his lip to bleed. After this was reported to management, everything suddenly moved a lot faster. If you are a Platinum or Diamond member, you receive lounge benefits. Because the lounge is not yet ready, these are held in the restaurant. For instance, you get afternoon tea from 3 pm to 5 pm. Evening cocktail is from 5 pm to 7 pm. Chocolate hour is for all guests and is from 4 pm to 5 pm. The afternoon tea selection, just like the breakfast, was disappointing compared to other hotels. And for a proper comparison, I will now take the Mövenpick in Bangkok. In Bangkok, the selection is much larger and there is a buffet. At the Mövenpick in Jakarta, you get a plate with a few pieces of cake. This also applies to chocolate hour. In Jakarta, it is a small-scale buffet, and in Bangkok, a large buffet with a chocolate fountain. The same applies to the evening cocktail. Now back to the part where people can make mistakes or provide slightly less service. Unfortunately, just like at Mövenpick Bangkok, I suffered food poisoning. This happened during chocolate hour or the evening cocktail. At the time, the management took the complaint seriously as far as it seemed and subsequently provided good support. They arranged for nursing care with medication and also provided some food to aid in the recovery of intestinal and stomach complaints. An examination was also conducted at my request. But to get the results of the examination, I had to chase them up a few times. This was eventually explained in a personal conversation, but you can already guess... There is obviously nothing wrong with the food, and I was the only guest who filed a complaint. Additionally, I was subjected to a sort of interrogation to see if it might be my fault after all. They asked if I had any allergies, if my body couldn't handle hot food followed by cold food, and if I could handle spicy food. Additionally, my wife was "advised" not to consume yogurt with milk, because that can have a chemical effect in the stomach. When my wife replied that neither she nor I like yogurt anyway, they suddenly fell silent. In other words, they were looking for an excuse like an allergy. At that moment, I no longer felt taken seriously, and that was a real shame. Especially after I saw that they offer a solution and take action once a complaint is received. In other words, it was an accident without a culprit. But the fact remains that I got sick and had to vomit 3 times and also had diarrhea twice in one night, even though I only ate inside the hotel. So not outside the hotel. That is why I can say with certainty that it originated from the hotel and why I filed the report. And another fact is that I ate spicy street food at the many stalls outside the hotel and didn't get sick even once....
