Placed in the mid of rice field in Pemalang (if I made no mistake), the hotel offers great stuffs. The grand lobby got a fine floor. Classy. Comfy. And the foods are good with a very very cheap prices. But the pool looks decent. And you got charge for borrowing an iron. That's kinda low for a classy hotel I think. But it's overally good. A place you'd love to bring your family to.

“Clean, spacious business hotel”

Stayed at Regina for 2 nights business trip to Pemalang and surrounding cities. I ordered pick up as I arrived at night by train. I missed my stop and had to wait for another train to go back to Pemalang. The hotel driver actually spoke to station personnel to find out my where about, and he waited at the station until I finally arrived. He even offered to stop by at local soto house for a quick meal. The hotel did not charge for pick up, so nice tip to the driver shows my gratitude for his service. I stayed in a non smoking, king size bed deluxe room. The room was spacious, clean but a bit sparse. Don't expect soft furnishing like other chain hotels. My room is located on the first floor, right next to parking lot so I cannot open the curtain but it was not noisy. The AC was warm at first, but after some adjustment it was working fine. They provide armoire (more space than I needed), electric kettle, tea and coffee sachets but no coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious with bath tub, working hot and cold water and complete toiletries, so I have no complain here. Quite a selection for breakfast, ranging from local fare to continental. While the variety may not be extensive, but I think it suffice for breakfast. My only complain is about the wifi service, which was unreliable. I requested for LAN cable, even then the internet connection would drop for sometimes. Quite problematic for business travelers who need to be connected, as phone reception was also weak. There is no restaurant/shop within walking distance from the hotel, so make sure that you've done your shopping/meals before coming to the hotel, unless you want to order room service. Nice hotel in a small city like Pemalang. Will stay again if I happen to be in the area next time.

This hotel is on the main road from Semarang towards Jakarta. Upon arrival you are greeted with a rather imposing reception area. Modern flowing stairs and a glass lift!! Staff at the reception were good with check in being fairly quick. I was with a group. So to the room once I found it. I had room 158 which is the annex building. A very nice entrance hall leading to the corridor. The room was a bit of a let down. fairly small but sufficient for me. One double bed which took up about 80% of the space. It was comfortable - the main thing. But as usual no where to put one's case so space had to be created. The table area which was being used for the kettle and other sundries was cleared and loo a case area.There is a small table area on the same side of the room on which one can work if needed. A wardrobe is also provided so there is space to unpack if needed. A small TV is available with a fairly good selection of channels. The room is clean. The bathroom is a bit small having a toilet, a small washbasin and a shower head!! The shower is not in a separate cubicle but is one with the toilet area. Not the best. But one can say that the room was functional which is what you need. The restaurant is a typical open plan area. we had dinner here on both nights that we were there. First night the service was a little slow and the food was warm at best. The service slow. The second night I made the mistake of altering my order. Well the slow service got even worse. 50 minutes i waited and everyone else had finished their meals. So you need a large amount of patience. this hotel also has a convention center. All the rooms are non smoking but not to far to walk to have a cigarette. There is free wi fi but in the rooms the signal was not strong enough to work so one has to go to a public area where the signal is better.

“Transit hotel with reasonable price”

We went to Yogyakarta during lebaran and caught traffic after the newly built tollroad. The hotel may be the biggest you will find since the toll exit. The price quite reasonable during lebaran and the breakfast also excellent. I even get the room with 2 air conditioners which is really cold.

Regina Hotel is located at the main road from Pekalongan to Jakarta, in a small town named Pemalang. It is basically a transit hotel for those wanting to continue traveling to Jakarta or for those wanting to have a short break before entering Pekalongan city, a city that has long been recognized as a center for batik industry in Indonesia. Although as a staging point, Regina hotel presumably tries to also cater to the need of the surrounding customers, who are in need of a representative place to organize their weddings or any other parties. That's why, this hotel also has a convention hall, a plus point for locals. The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and relatively well-maintained. It has 3 stars. For a 3-star transit hotel, the price is unbelievably expensive. For 2 standard rooms plus a junior suite we were requested to pay around Rp. 2.5 million/night, more expensive that the one we booked for our next destination in Pekalongan. Breakfast is included and food is good enough. Overall rating is 3/5.
