The last time I stayed at this hotel was in December 2023. I was hoping to see some renovations or noticeable improvements during this visit, but unfortunately, the property still looks quite dated and is in need of a refresh. The biggest disappointment was the air-conditioning. Even when set to 16°C with the fan on maximum, the room still felt closer to 25°C. A technician came to inspect the unit, but the situation did not improve. The hotel also did not have any standing fans available, so I ended up buying a small portable fan, which helped slightly. The next day, I requested a room change. While the air-conditioning in the new room was marginally better, it was still not cool enough. During the day, the room remained warm, although it became more comfortable at night. The room itself is spacious, featuring a reasonably sized TV and an open-concept wardrobe. The bathroom is functional and well-maintained, although the basin area is rather small, with enough space for only one toiletries bag. One thing to note is that the hotel still does not provide hand towels. Instead, guests receive two bath towels and one floor towel. Basic amenities such as a dental kit, comb, shower cap, and other toiletries are provided. The shower is one of the highlights of the room. Water pressure is excellent, and the hot water supply is consistent throughout the shower. However, I would strongly recommend that the hotel replace the small individual bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash with refillable 400ml dispensers. The current bottles are inconvenient to use, often requiring repeated squeezing or shaking, and they are generally insufficient for two guests. Likewise, replacing the bar soap with refillable liquid hand soap would be a much more hygienic and practical solution, as bar soap tends to become messy and can leave residue under your fingernails. The minibar refrigerator was another letdown. Even when set to the coldest setting (Level 5), it was unable to keep drinks properly chilled. The bed offers a comfortable level of firmness, and the pillows are supportive, providing a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast has definitely improved since my previous stay, with a wider selection and noticeably better overall quality. Although the hotel is clearly showing its age and is overdue for refurbishment, it still offers good value for money. Its greatest strength remains its excellent location. It is within walking distance of BCS Mall, Grand Batam Mall, A2 Food Court, and numerous popular massage outlets, making it a convenient base for shopping, dining, and relaxation. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable hotel in a prime location, this property remains a solid choice despite its aging facilities. With some much-needed renovations and improvements—particularly to the air-conditioning—it could once again become one of the better value-for-money hotels in the area.

Stayed here for a night on 7 Nov. + Great location , just five mins away from shopping mall + comfortable big bed + Free wifi and breakfast included in the price + friendly staff + Good breakfast spread

This was an amazing hotel staffs that they have here. My family trip booked to stay in this hotel in mid Oct, was not really expecting much from the look of the lobby but when we checked in. The staff amazed us greatly. 3 of us was allocated to a King's bedroom with a sofa bed. When i saw the housekeeping staff cleaning another room, I had only requested for an extra set of cup but what I was given were more than that. At first they gave me an extra cup, second bell came they give me tea bags and last bell came with a foldable bed and an extra slipper. So touchy touchy... their service rocks ~~~~
