My husband, son, and I always stay at Panbil Residences whenever we visit Batam Island, and this recent 3-night stay didn't disappoint. The staff are super welcoming and friendly every time. Breakfast is decent, and if you can get a top floor room, the lake view is really nice. The location is great too — easy to reach other spots on the island for day trips and sightseeing. I also love that there's a spa outlet right at the hotel — treated myself to a 2+ hour full body massage and spa session, which was so relaxing and convenient without having to go anywhere else. The price is also very affordable compared to Singapore rates, so it's a nice treat whenever we're here. The suites are quite spacious for a family like ours. Only small feedback: the dining table/chair design makes it easy to bump your feet if you're not careful — I've hurt my foot on it a few times myself (we joke about it now!). Maybe worth a design tweak. Overall, still a solid choice and we'll keep coming back on our next Batam trip. Recommended!

Great value for money, especially for a family trip. We stayed in a family suite, with 3 bedrooms and a decently large living room with dinning table and a kitchen. There are plenty of space where family members can mingle and yet with privacy in the bedrooms. There are lots of family time with the setup of an apartment. We like this concept. I need to attend to business matters during my stay and the dinning table allows me to spread out my computer and documents. It will be even better if the lighting can be brighter. While paying for a price for service apartment, we get to enjoy breakfast, and other facilities offered by Wyndham Panbil Hotel. Our apartment is within the same vicinity, just a different block. We were greeted by Bagas, the driver that fetch us between ferry terminal and hotel. He greeted us with a warm smile always and uphold the hospitality standards expected of a five stars hotel. One improvement is that the water from the basins in the toilets tasted a little rusty. I have to keep it running for a while to make it better. We also see repair patches on the windows. Looks kind of “scary”. The apartment offers a big drum of drinking water. It’s thoughtful but we didn’t use it. Reason being that the cap is dirty. We bought mineral water. There is a reasonably large local market just outside the hotel. It’s rather convenient. Back to the room, we love the forest view. For those who meditate, the energy is great when the sun rose from the East. We can seat on the bed, looking through the floor to ceiling windows, watching sunrise. Overall, we like the serviced apartment concept offered by Wyndham Group. We have stayed in Kuala Lumpur Wyndham Hotel before and like the concept of hotel run serviced apartment concept.
