JW Marriott Medan is an excellent hotel and easily one of the best places to stay in the city. The buffet was very delicious, with a wide variety of high-quality food and great presentation. The staff was consistently friendly, professional, and attentive, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Everything is well organized, from check-in to dining and daily service. Overall, a top-class hotel in Medan with great food, great service, and a high standard throughout. Highly recommended!

J W Marriott in Medan is a fabulous place to stay....I stayed there on two occasions in January of this year,2026.It was a most enjoyable experience.My room on each occasion was very large and super clean.It was serviced daily.The staff were super friendly and helpful and in this regard I want to mention Shanty,Jean and Welly at reception,Gibran,Moan and Denny in the lounge,Marsya at the cafe,Hambali,Andika,Edelwin and Rajif at breakfast and Rita also....The hotel is very conveniently located adjacent to Jalan Ahmed Yani and close to many of the attractions,cafes and restaurants nearby...This hotel offers a range of dining options...I dined at the lounge on a number of occasions and prices were very reasonable...Breakfast each morning was superb...This hotel is definitely worth returning to and I am happy to give it 10 out of 10...top marks.

Stayed at JW Marriot Medan for 2 nights this week. Have always stayed here whenever I come here for business in Medan. Quick thoughts : 1) No 2 complimentary laundry is a bummer, all my other stays in other JW Marriot has this privilege 2) I asked for oxtail soup at the lounge and initially, was told it was not complimentary, but the manager was nice enough to make an exception for me. 3) Lounge space is big, but will be nice if more food choices were available 4) Got a welcome drink when I arrived but no farewell drink when I left (while I was waiting for transport to head to airport); probably will be nice to have that as well. 5) Breakfast at restaurant was alright but some covers (that covered the food) were really hot. Will be good to look at that; perhaps wrapping the top with a cover or something.

Checking into the hotel pls be expected you have to undergo baggage and human security screening each time entering the hotel premises. Service from FO staff and Porters of acceptable standards. Booked a Club Access room, which in returned is no different from a normal Deluxe room. The in-room Mini-bar fridge is tally empty!! Only beverages provided were coffee and tea in the room. Only when you visited the Club Lounge, you can indulge yourself in various soft drinks and coffee and tea. Alcoholic drinks are not available except during cocktails from 6-8pm local time. Even breakfast at Club Lounge are not available, and made only available at the Marriot Cafe. Hospitality service from the Club Lounge staff are accommodating but very limited. I and my family entourage did not experience the luxurious stay felt, which were expected to have. To me, a disappointing stay in the famous brand of a promised luxury experience. In-room amenities were adequate and cleanliness of acceptable standards. However, the pillows offered were too airy-soft. The Club Lounge was too bare with dilapidated furnishings, no sense of luxurious ambience at all. Breakfast at Marriot Cafe was good, as there were variety choices of food offered from local cuisine to international. The taste of the food were good and service from the cafe staff was good and proactive. Nothing much to comment and hopefully Marriot brand will looked into such matters to improve its so-called luxurious brand experience to have.
