This is my third time staying at this excellent hotel. Always excellent service. The guys at the reception are friendly and always ready to help, as are the rest of the staff. The pool is clean and the guy in charge of the pool does his job well. The breakfast is varied and useful and the staff are helpful. You always feel like a special guest. I highly recommend this hotel. This is my third time staying at this excellent hotel. Always excellent service. The guys at the reception are friendly and always ready to help, as are the rest of the staff. The pool is clean and the guy in charge of the pool does his job well. In another city this hotel might have rated a three star, but considering the incredibly difficult circumstances the hospitality trade in Kurdish Iraq is functioning in, this place merits a four star review. The staff at reception were friendly though not terribly well-informed. Everything in the hotel was clean, and it was quiet enough. Breakfast was fine, only one waiter would ask every morning if we wanted an omelet or similar, but if you asked someone else, you could get it. Buffet was extensive. Great shower, firm bed, teamaking facilities, plenty of bottled water, and terrific pool. Ten minutes from the old centre, five minutes from a mall, and ten minutes to a great street with restaurants. My only minor comment is that, as I stayed over a week for work, I couldn't iron my clothes myself. It's very rare not to have a iron in the room.

Found this affordable option on Booking.com and the rooms are comfortable, reasonably spacious with thick towels and good mattresses and sheets. Found this affordable option on Booking.com and the rooms are comfortable, reasonably spacious with thick towels and good mattresses and sheets. Breakfast buffet lacks an omelette station but there are scrambled eggs, cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. The front desk staff speak excellent English but unfortunately the waitstaff do not, so be prepared for some missteps in the dining room at dinner. One thing to be aware of is that the official forex rate isn’t used at Kurdistan hotels for room payment; the less advantageous black market rate is used. Thus my 3 nights advertised as costing $230 actually ran about $285, a significant difference. Factor that into your budget.

We stayed in this hotel on two different occasions. Our first visit was in March, 2023, witch was quite satisfactory as the staff at the reception desk were really helpful, professional, and fast in the check in. In our second visit on July 9, 2023, the hotel had two new reception staff who were not as professional nor helpful as the previous employees. They were rather slow in the check in and check out asking for irrelevant information and documentation which were not asked for in the first visit. In the check out , they asked me to change a new $100 bill for no valid reason although they had no fraud checking machine, which they should, I assume! On arrival, other hotel residents were in heat argument with the reception. The other negative issue was the unstable ekectricity. One good thing about the hotel is its central location and breakfast which has some varieties.
