I stumbled upon this place by accident for brunch. I ordered French toast, that was due to arrive with bacon & honey. OMG..! I have never in my life tasted anything so utterly divine..! It melted in my mouth & came with blueberries on the side and a dusting of icing flour. I had initially thought I’d have pancakes afterwards but I didn’t need to, as this dish catered for all tastebuds. I’m not easily pleased -but this stands out as a great dish during my trip to Cork & surrounding areas.

The receptionist is excellent and also works in a Sister hotel. The room was fantastic old style place a spotlessly clean rooms well appointed water chocolates. It's very nice. “Amazing hotel and experience!!”

we had a lovely day at the old bank townhouse. The rooms were well appointed, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the staff was extremely attentive. Our daughter left her cosmetic bag at the hotel, and they went out of their way to deliver it to us in Killarney two hours awa… more

we had a lovely day at the old bank townhouse. The rooms were well appointed, the breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful, and the staff was extremely attentive. Our daughter left her cosmetic bag at the hotel, and they went out of their way to deliver it to us in Killarney two hours away. This is an absolute must place to stay if you’re visiting Kinzel. Wonderful location, situated across from the water and easy access to all the wonderful restaurants.

The Cafe is great. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great food to eat. I will certainly return to the cafe. The hotel though is tired. It needs money spent on it. The Cafe is great. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great food to eat. I will certainly return to the cafe. The hotel though is tired. It needs money spent on it. The carpets in particular need to be properly cleaned. I stayed for quite a long time and some days I could see the carpet was not vacuumed. My room was a lovely size with great views, but there were three lights that did not work and the expresso machine was broken. I also stayed in the so called suite. That is very tired, Very dated furniture and I don’t mean historical. The wardrobe is nearly impossible to open on one side. The carpets in there are yuk. The radiator near the window does not work so you are given Dyson heaters to remedy the problem. There are no defusers in the rooms. Last night the Dyson heater fused the electrics. I called the night porter three times. No answer. I walked down to the sister hotel , the Blue Haven and a member of the restaurant staff arranged for someone to come and reset the fuses. The electrics in that room need a safety inspection in my opinion as there was a bad burning smell when the fuse blew. This hotel could be so wonderful if the management went round the place, identified the problems and spent a bit of maintenance money on it. The hotel is in a great location. But until proper maintenance is done it will remain mediocre at best.
