“Location & convenience for a reasonable price.”

Great value, with the city centre only a stroll away. Surprisingly quiet given the central location. Close to affiliated parking. Comfortable room with very good bathroom/shower & AC. Nice breakfast for all ages. Helpful reception staff e.g. sorted taxi transport to airport with minimal fuss.

We have had hit or miss with Premier Inns in the UK, but good luck in Dublin. This Premier Inn was in a fantastic location so we tried it and were happy. It was basic, but clean and the staff was pleasant.

Overall I would recommend this hotel. We were two families traveling and had four people in the room I stayed in (one adult and three children). Overall I would recommend this hotel. We were two families traveling and had four people in the room I stayed in (one adult and three children). Both families had a room with a double bed and two single beds. The space was cramped but we did appreciate that two of the kids could have their own bed. Breakfast was good with enough options that everyone was happy, and the staff was very accommodating (we took a day tour that left very early one morning, and the hotel staff offered us boxes to take breakfast to go). Check in was easy—we booked the “early check in” option and arrived even earlier and one of the rooms was already available and they let us in even before the 11am check in. The location in temple bar was ideal and very central. There were a few opportunities for improvement: 1) The air conditioning. You could only set the temp to 19 degrees C but the room never got anywhere near that cool. It was consistently warm (and if you shower, then also extremely humid) and neither the bathroom ventilation nor the room AC was sufficient. There’s also a central timer that turns the AC off in your room automatically after an hour or two. With four of us sleeping in the small room, it heated up quickly and I woke up very warm every night. I asked the reception about this and it was very clear that they tried to cover up that this was a common complaint and also that this is how the hotel is intentionally set up (they offered to bring us a fan but ultimately never brought it). The other family traveling with us was two rooms away from us and had the exact same issue. 2) Be aware that the bathtub/shower combo has a very tall step into the bath. It came to my mid/upper thigh and was quite slippery (although a bath mat can be requested from the reception). This may not be suitable for some elderly individuals or those with balance issues. 3) There is one small trash can in the room and no other central trash disposal in the hotel. Also, rooms are only cleaned on request so the trash is not emptied unless you request this. We ordered takeout two nights and took the empty containers to dispose outside in the street trash cans to avoid having the smell stay in our room. Despite these things, I would recommend the hotel and would also stay again, as both the price and location were reasonable. We also experienced no noise issues at all despite being located downtown. Just expect to be a little warm while you’re here.
