“Snowy mountains near Rome”
we were in Rome and we decided to see the snow in the mountains. We made the hotel reservation and took a train to Avezzano and then a bus to Rocca di Mezzo. In two hours we arrived at the hotel. “Large hotel with large indoor swimming pool.”
Large hotel with large indoor swimming pool. Popular destination for winter sports and treeking during the summer. Located outside the town of Rocca di Mezzo. The road up there from Aquila was very beautiful. The continental breakfast was normal, however I missed fresh bread.

“Disappointment”
This place does not merit the 4 stars it claims. Unbelievably there was no gin of any kind at the bar, and the bar tender hardly knew how to make any drinks anyway. The atmosphere is staid and depressing. There are very few sports facilities, with the exception of the nice, small, indoor pool
