We spent a 4-night stay at the Antico and, all in all, we’re pretty happy with this pick we made among a wide offer available in the area. Antico lies, first of all, in a strategic position, in the sense that a) the Bellamonte free-of-charge skibuses stop back-and-forth at its doorstep, literally, thus driving you to Lusia Alps skiarea in just 10’, departing every 30’; b) the nearest 3,5Km long x-country ski rink is a mere 2-minute walk; c) the hotel does not offer a wellness facility, nor a Jacuzzi, nevertheless the public indoor swimming center is a 10-minute drive towards Predazzo, boasting a 5-lane 25m lap pool, plus two smaller pools of warm and hot waters and whirlpools to soothe weary skiers as well as relentless kids; d) the closest warehouse is just in front of the entrance, allowing guests to find many goods, from food to newspapers. That said, the accommodation falls in the money-for-value category. The rooms are sufficiently large and well-kept and very clean. It’s worth mentioning that the shower was oversized. The breakfast they served was up-to-the-par, with very good bread and jams. At a first glance, nothing of essential was missing or unpleasant in the morning service. We had no lunch at the interior-wooden restaurant, while we did dine, so to have the opportunity to taste a number of good and luscious dishes. They ask you to make your picks at the previous dinner, allowing you to choose among three first courses and three main courses, ending with a dessert. The service, managed by kind and affable staff, was especially well run. An effort was recently made to let the guest to possibly do some basic indoor workout, piling up in a small room some fitness equipment. For the sake of completeness, I can complement this account by mentioning that I did not spot any (indoor) playground area that can be used by kids in spare moments, if any. Also the TV choice is currently poor, with just nine Italian channels to watch. The WiFi can be found only in the common spaces. While the parking lot is handy and large, to my knowledge there is no way to shelter your vehicles from the winter elements. Frankly speaking, what is presently missing of the afore said facilities does not represent anything strictly mandatory to please the guest at the Antico, also because we saw the owners do everything they could to ensure the best possible stay for everyone. I do recommend experiencing the beautiful Predazzo area by lodging at the Antico, as we could feel a nice and warm ambience that was hard to leave when our holidays was eventually over…

“Typical hotel restaurant of in Trentino”

The restaurant has a deal with the nearby Hotel Garnì Margherita and offers typical dishes of the region. They have high chairs, colouring pages, pencil crayons and a bib for babies. Service was ok, nothing special.
