What a great hotel!! Positioned in Penia in the Dolomites this was a lovely place to stay and the ski bus stopped right outside at regular intervals so no long walks to the 2 nearest big lifts which were just 5 mins in the bus. All the staff were fantastic and always good fun! They went out of their way to help with nothing too much trouble. Rooms were a good size with good storeage and comfortable beds. No bath in our room but good shower and nice washing facilities. Always very warm (needed window open at night!) and everything worked. Food was just amazing. Masses to chose from at breakfast and dinner (4 courses!) with different menu each day. Lovely bar staff, always ready to have a chat and a laugh with us. There were other things available (eg hot tub) which we didn’t use. We would certainly go there again!!

“A good ski hotel”

This hotel is a good place to be based for skiing in the Dolomites and the Sella Ronda. The hotel itself is warm, has places of hot water for showering after a long day skiing and great WIFI. This hotel is a good place to be based for skiing in the Dolomites and the Sella Ronda. The hotel itself is warm, has places of hot water for showering after a long day skiing and great WIFI. The food is decent and plentiful. The staff are also friendly and helpful. The boot room is a little snug when busy but has a convenient exit to walk up the drive onto the road to catch the member 4 bus (free). This bus runs every 20 minutes and takes you to the nearest gondola and chairlifts in under 5 minutes. At the end of the day the number 4 takes you back to the hotel. The skiing area is fab with a modern infrastructure of gondola’s, lifts and snow canons to bolster the snow levels when needed. The variety and scenery is immense for a week’s skiing.

Rooms are spacious and clean, though decor is basic and needs some refreshing. A few small maintenance issues in the room. No kettle/tea in the room. Beds are firm (too firm for me) and the pillows are horrible. Reception/bar/dining room comfortable and well equipped. Meals are a good standard (breakfast and dinner) with plenty of tasty food available - kitchen always willing to adjust for a special diet. Location great for skiing - the minibus runs on time and stops right outside, but if it's full and you have proper shoes on, you can easily walk to ski lift in about 10 mins. The greatest asset here is the staff, they're all friendly and helpful, and made our stay so much better. There's a lovely little shop a few yards up the road which sells great local wine and meats/cheese. You can get a fresh sandwich there for your travels.

“Reasonably good”

Food is good and plentiful. Room was generally comfortable. Reception staff were superb. However rooms on first floor above the kitchen are noisy - continual water flushing sounds. And the frequency and timing of the ski buses in the valley is poor.
