From the moment you step into the hotel, it is impossible not to be impressed. The interiors are undeniably beautiful—elegant, stylish, and thoughtfully furnished throughout. It creates a striking first impression and sets expectations of a truly high-end experience. Unfortunately, that is where the experience largely ends. Across almost every department, the level of service falls well below what one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The issues appear so widespread that they suggest a deeper problem with overall management rather than isolated shortcomings. The result is a stay that feels consistently underwhelming and, at times, frustrating. Some examples of this lack of service include: • Ski rental: Staff spoke inappropriately to our teenager when he attempted to change skis, following advice from his ski school. • Ski equipment: Our son was mistakenly given ski boots two sizes too large. • Experience desk: Limited knowledge and little helpful guidance offered. • Front desk: Generally unhelpful with enquiries. A request for assistance with TV mirroring was never followed up. • In-room technology: The Netflix app does not function due to incompatibility with the TV system. • Spa: Booking is required, yet we were not informed of the 15+ age restriction or the one-hour time limit when reserving for our family. • Housekeeping: Attention to detail was poor; a small amount of make-up spilled on the floor remained there for the entire week. The room was not cleaned to a good standard. • Restaurant booking: A restaurant in town attempted to confirm our reservation via the hotel. As there was no response, our table was cancelled. • Entertainment: During the Winter Olympics in Italy, the hotel’s large screen and theatre did not show the events for guests. • Bar service: Consistently slow. • Town shuttle: Messages sent via WhatsApp requesting collection went unanswered. After 7pm, the charge rises to €10 per person for what is at most a 10-minute journey, which feels excessive. In summary, while the hotel excels in aesthetics, it falls significantly short in service and guest experience. With stronger management and attention to detail, it could be exceptional—but in its current state, it does not deliver on its promise.

“5 star hotel missing warmth”

The hotel is at the top of Cervinia village and its a vertical descent 8 min walk along the main road to the town centre. The hotel is at the top of Cervinia village and its a vertical descent 8 min walk along the main road to the town centre. Up to 7pm there is a courtesy shuttle bus that will drop you to the town centre. Unfortunately, after 7pm they charge an extortionate €10 per person to bring you back to the hotel. The hotel is 5 star and everyone is very professional. However, this is where the problem lies. There is little warmth. We felt as we were yet another guest. Not special. I was with six other women and it was an odd feeling to see people smiling at you without being genuine. Rooms were comfortable but the room was too hot, shower heat taps were interesting, one minute scolding the next cold. There were slats missing from my side of the bed and lifting up the mattress they were on the floor. It was a clean hotel, lots of workers keeping it this way. There is no where to work where there isn't piping hotel music being pumped through the speakers. There is no outside area that we could find to enjoy the sun, unless we wanted to sit next to the Range Rover promo area. I booked a massage. My male masseur was excellent for €170 for 50 minutes. Probably the best I've ever experienced. The spa pool was small - it's a pity there isn't a inside and outside pool to use during the ski season. The ski room was good and there was a ski shop on site. My biggest grumble one Rose available on the menu only for €70. However, we did appreciate the 'canapes and sandwiches' every day at 4pm.
