We weten the only Dutch family there. Fantastic location to relax. Even the service is excellent and they are also the English language worthy. Rooms clean. Breakfast and dinner you can not on, so much for a nice price. Starter vd chef free. A welcome drink upon arrival when we received a refreshing ' dive ' names in the small but cozy swimming pool. Idyllic and romantic is the right word here! The location is hard to find, but direct questions and the friendly Italians point you the way. The views of Mount Vesuvius is great. Pompeii is nearby. We will definitely go back there!

Position is great, up on a hill, with a beautiful view from terrace and from room(201) to Vesuvius and Naples Bay ! We had a rent car, so going up/down hill to Gragnano and Castelammare was no problem (10 min). When first time arriving in the area from Naples, getting to Via Gesini in Lettere with GPS was very easy, then follow signs and in 3 minutes you are on spot. Interesting traffic, between 9-16 absolutely reasonable, even empty in most areas, but between 17-20 everybody seemed to wake up and take cars for driving along. I don't know if this info is relevant for other periods, we stayed there between 26-30 Dec, almost all locals being on holidays. Room 201(second floor) very nice and big. Breakfast was included, served on table (not buffet), but very good, good start for the day, relaxing on terrace with such an astonishing view. All staff very helpful, but especially Roberta, who increases the ranking of this hotel. She is one of the best we have met in many trips we have done in last years over Europe. Any wish we had, any detail we needed, she was there to answer and help. One day she was not on duty, but she left a letter in the reception box with train schedule and bus from Pompei to Naples, which she heard from our conversation that we intend to visit next day ! All touristic points are close, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Naples; Palmentiello is perfect placed. In the mornings, with no traffic, we made, in a very relaxed manner, 45 minutes to Sorrento, 1 hour to Positano, 45 minutes to Pompei. In the evenings, on return, we made 1,5 h, even 2 hours (from Ravello), but it was exactly in that busy interval I was mentioning above. In Naples we have been by train, from Pompei, it is only 35 minutes travel with Circumvesuviano, very cheap (2,3 eur one way), and trains leaving every 20 minutes. Parking in Camping Zeus in Pompei is just across the road from train station. Traffic in Naples is busy and chaotic, so it doesn't worth waist your time. From Garibaldi train station, bus R2 is going to the Naples center. We tried to eat lunch pizza in famous Da Michelle. Impossible between 13-15, they were at least 50 people waiting outside to catch a table. We eat a perfect pizza elsewhere We had dinner twice in Palmentiello, it was very good and fair price. Few words about parties, a subject commented a lot in other reviews: it was only one while we have been there (26-30 Dec), music was indeed loud for a while, but on 23.30 volume is reduced so we could rest without problems. Conclusions: we felt very well, even spoiled with attention, and we recommend this place for people with rent car, for good accommodation, good services, panoramic views and perfect location in the center of touristic attractions ! All these for a low price.

Wonderful View, air and tranquility. The problem was how to get there !! It was not easy. My recommendation is just to be there before night and not after.
