“Good for families”

Overall 5 stars. Basic self-catering accommodation but everything we needed, clean and very comfy beds. Bus in/out of town was very handy. Kids loved the football pitch for playing with other kids in the evenings.

I have just returned from Garda and my stay at this hotel was excellent, the staff were super helpful and friendly and the facilities excellent. Location overlooking Garda has some stunning views to be had but be prepared for some hills and steps, however golf carts on hand to ferry people around.

We are just back from a holiday here. Hotel staff: very helpful Restaurant: continental and cooked breakfast, plenty of food even when you went there later. Food was nice at dinner - there were two courses to choose from. There was only one bad meal and that was houmous with vegetables. It looked like a bald hedgehog when it appeared (about 10 strips of veg stuck in it). It was awful. Resort: very hilly. Dont come here if you have even minor issues with mobility. However there is a golf buggy doing the rounds so you can catch the driver’s attention for a lift or contact reception and they’ll contact him. Pool: lovely but not heated. It was always busy but there are more than enough sunbeds. There’s a bar at one end and they had it decorated for the World Cup and showed live matches. Room: we were in a junior suite. It was a good size and the balcony overlooked the pool. However the fridge was not cold in the slightest. Shuttle bus: they run every 30 minutes but more frequently if anyone is waiting. It’s a 5 minute drive to town. In my opinion there’s no way you could walk there in less than 30 minutes.. Facilities: spa was £15 for 3 hours. Tennis was £7.50 per person for an hour and £3 for a racquet. I didn’t see anyone use either the spa or the tennis courts. I think it was too expensive for guests. Day trips: often you get picked up by the coach at the barrier to the hotel which is about a 7/8 minute walk away. All in all, a really good resort.

We stayed in an upper floor apartment overlooking the golf holes and down the valley which was really nice and peaceful especially early morning and at dusk. Apartment was clean, spacious and had nearly everything required. We had breakfast in the Hotel which had good options. Generally ate in town in the evening, got minibus down and walked back. There is a nice restaurant by the security gate to the hotel. Sports facilities are very good, played padel, used the driving range, footy pitch and gym. There are some nice walks locally in the hills. We tried the spa a couple of times, they do a family ticket early afternoon at 5euro each though i would only do this on a weekend as the sauna / steam room was cold during the week. Big outdoor pool looked inviting but was not heated so freezing. Hotel has a laundrette, small games room and a shop (small and only limited opening). Hotel staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Hotel is up a hill which is fine to walk into town but a bit of a slog coming back. Free mini shuttle bus is a good option if you can get on it especially back up from town. It was a bit chaotic at times and we went at a quiet time of year. We took a taxi back a couple of times. Nearest supermarket was 15 mins walk towards town but on the route the minibus takes and not the main road. Garda itself is a lovely little town and easy to then jump on a bus or take the ferry and explore the lake or venture to Verona. There is a great promenade down to the end of the lake. We hired bikes in Garda one day and took a leisurely ride down to Peschiera Del Garda, exploring the villages on the way. You can hire bikes from hotel but you have to give them 24hrs notice, shame you cant just hire one on the day. Most of the lake attractions were closed for the season so we didn't venture up the lake. In October the weather in Garda is a bit hit and miss, some lovely days but a few cold rainy days between. Generally a nice relaxing visit.
