“Small, friendly hotel.......”
We visited Anzio to view the 'Beach Landing museum' and other monuments to 1944. Conveniently located for everything in Anzio, La Bussola is clean and cosy. The owners are very nice and a helpful source of information. There is a good breakfast bar with tasty food. Definitely five stars!

Situated close to the main square and the port, the location was excellent. The greeting was friendly and staff were helpful allowing a late check out and a place to leave our luggage for the day. We stayed at the hotel for one night, before we took the ferry to Ponza Island. The hotel is located in the city centre, just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. Anzio itself is a waterfront fishing town that was heavily bombed during the war, famous for allied landings and is home to a Commonwealth cemetery and War Museum(closed Wednesdays) .
