I can’t fault the actual hotel itself. Friendly staff, clean, and good value. However, I felt it wasn’t suited to an actual holiday base in my opinion more business users. Although the hotel itself isn’t run down the area looks to be. It’s on a busy duel carriageway and a good 20 mins walk from the nearest metro station (which their metro is brilliant btw just like London Underground easy to navigate). The streets surrounding it looked rough, run down and litter strewn I didn’t feel safe after dark walking. Little by way of shops and certainly no quaint nearby streets it looks very commercial with the university nearby. Ok if you like that sort of thing but I prefer a more populated area with beautiful streets and a variety of shops nearby the sort of thing you can walk around and shop l and visit nice restaurants and bars. You can get the bus but I didn’t find it easy to navigate like the metro. Near the metro for food do check out Eataly for groceries and restaurants you can get some food gifts at good prices eg chocolates, olive oils etc. The hotel restaurant is cheap and adequate but basic and lacking in atmosphere. I felt the area lacked the real Italian experience. If quality of accommodation on a budget rather than accessibility to facilities are important to you this is a good option. I wish I’d done a little more research before booking.

Arrived at hotel mid afternoon to be told that our reservation had been cancelled,we told the lady on reception that we hadn't cancelled it,she then proceeded to produce a print out that said that our booking had been cancelled on the 13th April,I told her that it wasn't possible as since that date "love holidays had taken 2 further payments and we were constantly getting emails with updates regarding out visit,she said they didn't deal with "love holidays" directly and that "love holidays" buy a block of rooms and then sell them on their website,the lady on reception was totally disinterested in our problem and said it wasn't the hotels problem,she advised us to go into the corner of reception and sort it out.i then spent the next 3 hours on the phone to "love holidays" trying to sort it out,during the 3 hours my girlfriend asked the lady on reception if her mum,who we'd taken for her 70th birthday, could have a cup of tea to which the lady on reception bluntly said "no".after 3 hours "love holidays" said that we would be staying at that hotel and someone from reception would come and confirm this but we sat there and no one from reception came to speak to us.ive stayed in countless hotels over the years with work and also pleasure and have never come across such a disinterested/ rude member of reception as the lady on duty when we arrived,since returning we've been in communication with "love holidays" who have confirmed the cancellation was done by the hotel.on a more positive note the breakfast staff were really friendly and the breakfast had plenty of options.
