After presenting an annual retreat in Assisi, I returned to Stanze di Sara for two weeks. This is my third positive review of this conveniently located bed and breakfast in Trastevere, a few trolly stops from Rome's fascinating and popular old quarter of Trastevere. Sara's place continues to offer a twenty-four hour available kitchen for self-catering with free breakfast foods and unlimited quantities of good coffee and teas. Two rooms have their own bathrooms and two share a well-appointed bathroom, all of which are cleaned daily. The two rooms located near the busy Viale di Trastevere share the street noises but shutters allow one to block these out for the night. These rooms compensate by having balconies that allow outside dining. The neighborhood is typically Roman, two blocks away from a big Sunday outdoor market. Foreign students abound. A fully stocked grocery is around the corner. One has straight-line access to the Center of Rome in a ten-minute trolly ride that also enjoys stops for Trastevere and Campo di Fiore. I'll always return to Sara's when I'm in Rome. I have had good experiences with the other sojourners at this B&B. While I have not stayed at other B&Bs in Rome, I have been assured by those who have that Le Camere di Sara is one of the best.

Stanze di Sara Bed & Breakfast drew me back to enjoy Rome from my large room and private bath for two months, from February 1 - April 4, 2016. I was able to host with no problems both a friend for ten days and then my niece for two weeks. Both of them judged Stanze di Sara the best B&B they had ever experienced. Naturally I felt at home and my B&B neighbors, all young professionals staying for extended weeks in Rome as working interns, were friendly and everyone cooperated to create a good atmosphere. Rosie and her husband Roberto clean this four-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment every evening. Linens are changed every week and new towels provided every three days. Each room has its own air-conditioner and heating unit. I enjoyed the neighborhood of mostly Roman folks and convenience of transportation is a huge plus. Check our Sara's for short and long-term stays in Rome. You will be happy you did.

Perfect for long stay and rates discounted for same. The owner, Sara, is five-star considerate and protective of her visitoEnjoyed the experience of being in the heart of a Roman neighborhood with bus or tram to the historical cers although she does not live on the property. I was sick with a bad cold. She made the doctor's appointment, translated for me during my visit and accompanied me to the pharmacist to insure I received my prescriptions. "When you are in my apartment, you are under my protection." High value for reasonable rates. Free, strong wi-fi signal throughout--not to be dismissed. When in Rome, and I've stayed in Rome a lot, I won't ever stay anywhere else.
