I stayed at The Martis Palace Hotel with my 12 year old son for a long weekend in March. The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to all the popular attractions. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were polite, helpful, professional and friendly. Our room was a small French room and was perfect for what we needed. It was spotlessly clean and had a mini fridge should you wish to have a drink or snack. The shower was amazing and we found the room to be quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast which was lovely and had a good choice of food and drinks. Upon waiting for our taxi back to the airport, staff at the hotel provided us with a complimentary drink each which we thought was a lovely touch. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Rome and is looking for a quality hotel in a great location with superb staff.

“Great staff”

This was a perfect hotel for our three night stay in Rome. The staff is excellent and it’s in a great location. We could walk to all the sites. This was a perfect hotel for our three night stay in Rome. The staff is excellent and it’s in a great location. We could walk to all the sites. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was one of the larger ones we have stayed at in Italy. Great complementary breakfast as well. The only downfall was there was a marathon the day we were to depart making it a little more challenging. However the hotel was super accommodating and made the experience the most pleasant.

“Beautiful, perfectly positioned and expertly run small luxury hotel, could not recommend more highly!”

My mom and I stayed in this gorgeous hotel for three nights and we both adored it! We had booked two classic rooms but were kindly upgraded (free of charge) to fabulous junior suites. The stylish and spacious rooms were equipped with all the modern conveniences, including excellent climate and lighting control, USB ports at the desk, and abudant storage space in the closets, while the bathrooms were fantastic with modern walk-in showers. The rooms were also extremely quiet, with hardly any noise coming from either outside or inside the hotel. That, combined with very comfortable beds and pillows, allowed for excellent sleep. The hotel's location in the middle of the historic center, literally a two-minute walk from Piazza Navona, allowed for easy walking to a great number of sites we wished to visit, plus there are taxi stands close by. The reception staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful at all times, as were the housekeeping staff (who kept the rooms and common areas immaculate and worked around our schedule, never bothering us when we had the Do Not Disturb sign on) and breakfast staff. Speaking of breakfast, the food was delicious and high quality, with a good variety of options. In short, we loved everything about the hotel! It was truly a pleasure to stay at the Martis Palace, and we would be delighted to return some day. Grazie mille!

“Wonderful just wonderful.”

We have returned home today after 3 nights at this hotel. Thank you for the staff who were accommodating on our early check in after emailing beforehand to explain we had an early flight. We have returned home today after 3 nights at this hotel. Thank you for the staff who were accommodating on our early check in after emailing beforehand to explain we had an early flight. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming from the reception to the breakfast and cleaning staff.The cleaners will clean your room daily but as we were only here 3 nights we didn’t bother letting them clean our room. the hotel is modern and very very clean which you can see as soon as you inter up the steps. we were shown to our room and everything was shown and explained to us . We had a junior suite with a 4 poster bed. It is the first time we have been away and I have not complained about the bed. It was so comfortable and big. For the first time in months I slept through every single Night. There is a huge TV and TV has a variety of different nationalities Chanel’s. The English Channels are a small number of news Channels . Mini fridge is well stocked and there is a coffee machine and a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. The shower is huge and the bathroom has plenty of towels and robes. There is a hairdryer to use in the wardrobe so you can plug it in by the huge mirror and not have to stand in the bathroom like some hotels. The windows of the room fully open and the curtains are very good at blocking the light out. You can turn off the aircon if the room gets too cold. There is also a safe for your valuables. The hotel is very well situated a few minutes walk from the Pantheon. It’s around 30 minutes to walk one way to the Vatican and around the same in the other direction to the colluseum. We walked everywhere and saw all the sights. It’s also very well situated for restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Now breakfast is good. There is a wide variety of different food from pastries, cheeses, hams, salmon, cereals , yogurts etc. Hot food was scrambled eggs and bacon with peppers on all days. This was in a hot plate so was warm but not hot. There is a menu where you can request food I think. They also do a breakfast box if you depart the hotel early. The staff get to know what drinks you like . There was enough food to fill us up ready to head out for the day. We did not have a room service menu in the room so I’m unsure if room service is provided. Even though the TV has an app with passwords provided in order to screen from devices, It does not work. Do not even waste your time downloading the app. The shower is hotter early in the morning and warm in the evening but I suppose if you are going in the warmer months this isn’t an issue. Anyway this is a fabulous hotel with fabulous staff and fabulous decor. It’s a must. There is also a lounge room/library room as you enter the hotel to the left. This is a very lovely cosy room to relax. It has a record player with some albums. I absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely go back in a heartbeat.
