This is not an 'Inn', in the quaint and typically English sense of the word.  At the door of the 'Inn', you will read that your accommodation is also described as a 'Guest House'.  Do not despair. 58 via Cavour, Rome, is a large building on a busy and noisy road. The building itself, discreetly accommodates a small number of businesses (but on entry, you would hardly know it, apart from name plates). On entry at street level, through a beautiful (and typically large) wooden door, you will find yourself in a cool lobby with high ceiling, and a concierge cabin.  An intimate elevator is available, or a wide, marble staircase to take you to your the Guest House entrance door on the first floor. There are only 4 accommodation rooms. Staff are from the Philippines, and they are lovely.  Upon your welcome, you are given keys to the street-level door, the access door to the 'Inn', and your room key.  *Arrival instructions are emailed to you initially, so don't worry. We found our room was very clean, bright, comfortable - and perfectly ideal for us as a couple. A nice view from our window of the street below is available, although not panoramic.  Decor was fractionally tired, in places - but it did not detract from our enjoyment of the room. On our first night we slept for 14 hours !  I guess because of a combination of the travel time from home in the UK, and the double-glazed window. When shut correctly, the room is blanketed in complete darkness. If you are a light sleeper, you may possibly hear the rumblings of a passing tram. We heard nothing of the outside world during the night. There was not a wardrobe in our room, nor a place to store clothing.  There was however, a hanging rail with hangers. Reassuringly, there is a safe for your valuables.  Toiletries and towels are supplied.  Breakfast is brought to your room at a time of your choice, within parameters - and it is quite lovely. We have stayed in the grandest of hotels in Dubai, Singapore and Mauritius. It all depends on your personal itinerary at any given time - wherever you are in the world. Relais Cavour Inn was perfect for our needs in Rome in 2023.  For three nights, the cost was €399.

“Convenient overnight stay in Rome”

Locted <10 minutes by foot from Termini, along via Cavour the location couldnt be more convenient. We always stay around the Monti/Esqulino area, while in Rome - so the Colosseum, Forums etc. and the attractions of the centro stroico are walking distance, though you could easily hop onto the metro… more

Locted <10 minutes by foot from Termini, along via Cavour the location couldnt be more convenient. We always stay around the Monti/Esqulino area, while in Rome - so the Colosseum, Forums etc. and the attractions of the centro stroico are walking distance, though you could easily hop onto the metro for places further away (like we did to get to the Testaccio market) or if your feet are complaining. The B&B is actually located on the first floor (elevator available) of a large building on via Cavour (self check in was easy). The Asian staff are helpful - handed over keys and facilitated a slightly early check in. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for an overnighter and the double glazed windows cut out the street noise quite effectively. I'm not sure if this is seasonal, but breakfast was not included. A bottle of water in the fridge might have been weclome on arrival. So if you're looking for comfort and convenience over luxury and atmosphere for a short stay, this is probably a very good choice, in a city where quality accomodation at sensible prices is becomnig harder to find.

Good location. Very small room. Breakfast is no longer provided. There is no reception area available. Prior to arriving, instructions are provided on how to enter the building. There are three keys. Good location. Very small room. Breakfast is no longer provided. There is no reception area available. Prior to arriving, instructions are provided on how to enter the building. There are three keys. One to open the front door from the street. Upon entering, the ground floor is dark, old and disused with no one around. After taking the small rickety lift to the first floor we walk down a corridor and use the second key to enter another empty space until we reach a hallway to the row of rooms. Key number 3 allows us to enter a very small room. No cupboard for clothes. At the end of the corridor is a room with a “Reception” sign on it. The room, no bigger than a small bathroom, has a small desk in it. I think the lady also does the cleaning. Her only communication was to ask us to pay the additional daily tax. I wouldn’t recommend staying there as there are Hotels that are also close to Roma Termini.
