Nice place, family-friendly with many attraction for your children. The rooms was ok, kitchen furniture was quite old but bathroom brand new. The pool and the outside area are nice and well managed. The bar is not so expensive and good. Internet ok. The hotel is close to Cinque terre and many other attractions in the area.

The generically named "Residence Italia" in Luni Mare is a good option for a family with a car wanting to explore the surrouding area. It is a good start-off point for Cinque Terre, Lerici, the Viareggio coast, Pisa and Lucca. The aparthotel is about 1km from the coast and the nearest beach. It seems to be hard to find aparthotels along this coast (apartments with cooking facilities otherwise rent by the calendar week only). The apartments are spacious and clean, the furniture somewhat run down. The kitchen is well equipped, but some extra pots and pans would not hurt. Spacious balcony with view to the pool or parking area. Good facilities for children with pool, playground and kids club. Friendly and helpful reception staff with limited knowledge of english. There is a bakery across the street (not the best, but better than nothing). A supermarket is a couple of blocks away. AC and Internet are charged extra. Secure parking is included.

“Good location for sightseeing in Toscany/Liguria”

We spent one week in July 2018 at this residence. We had a three room apartment which was clean and in good condition although very basic. Aircondition was nor included in the rate. The balcony was facing the car park with good views to the mountains but unfortunately also to the high way and a fairly loud bar (Power Slave). At times the pool was busy and opening hours were limited (9.30-19.30) ie. no morning or evening swim. Premises were nice and clean but also worn out. Overall very good location for touring this part of Italy but price vs value is questionable.

The hotel was well located for our day trips to La Spezia and Florence (by car). We are still not certain how we kept managing to find our way to the hotel since the road signs in Luni Mare were not too apparent. However, the locals were quite friendly in pointing us in the right direction! The staff were friendly and helpful. The premises were clean and seemed to be pleasantly full of life (a day camp was held on site but they would clear out before our early evening return) with a laundry facility and pool (the opening hours of 10-ish am to 7-ish pm did not correspond with our day-tripping so our kids could only feast their eyes upon it!). The one downside was the presence of ants when food was left on the counter (our baguette was covered within its bag). If a/c is needed, you must get the remote from the reception and they will charge according to the amount used...in late June, we found leaving the window open for the fresh air quite pleasant.
