What a nice experience. Got a great deal at almost half price, and that was real bargain. The location was great at the end of the main pedestrian street. Ample, public parking just a cross the hotel. The hotel is small, neet and very well kept. Room was equally neat, nicely decorated and comfortable. My room faced the church at the back, but at that price it was still a bargain. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. The breakfast room was so nice, bright, with a view of the ocean and white linen on the tables. Offerings very of the highest quality, fresh orange juice and coffee to your choice. Reception and breakfast room staff were very service minded and friendly throughout. For a one night stay I did not miss anything. For a longer stay there is no public area or lounge, and the bar is open during the morning only. I find that strange, but as you are at the city center it´s not really a problem. I would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed our couple of nights in this rather grand hotel. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. A wonderful dining room with amazing views. Excellent breakfast with a fantastic choice. Spacious room with great bed. One minor complaint was regarding the water from the shower seeping out to the shower room floor which was a concern re slipping.

I liked this hotel. It had a Fin du Siecle feel about it, especially in the elegant dining room. Our room had a small balcony, which overlooked the sea and the room itself was a decent size but again had a feel of a nostalgia about it. The buffet breakfast was very good, with a decent choice of dishes. I cannot fault the location either. Over the road was a huge car park and on the Saturday morning a very big market sets up next to it, which is well worth a look. The town of Sanremo is barely a couple of minutes walk and is full of great shops and restaurants. The atmosphere feels safe, laid back and stylish, as only the Italians can do. There is, however, a point to be noted: if you are travelling by car, the parking is valet only (unless you are happy to leave your car over the busy road in the public car park). We arrived at the hotel about midday to be told that the valet did not come on duty until 3pm so we had no choice but to leave the car in the paying car park and lug our cases across the busy road and in the rain into the hotel until he was due on duty. We were leaving the next day but were told again that the valet would not be available until 2pm so we had to go for a walk around the town to kill time as we had been checked out of our room at 12 noon. There is plenty to do in Sanremo so that in itself is not a particular problem unless you are pressed for time. Loved this location but would perhaps find a hotel with more convenient parking next time we visit this lovely town.

We kind of got a bad feeling from arrival at the Hotel when we were told they don’t provide assistance with luggage, 16 stairs to climb with luggage was not a good start while the two front office staff sat behind the counter offering no assistance or help. This was followed by a issue in regards to beach access, the hotel web site states beach access courtesy of Hotel, be but we were informed they charge 45 EUR a day, the young girl girl working at the reception told us this is alway a problem with guests and the hotel should update its website. In the end we walked across the road to the club to find they only charge 22 EUR a day for two sun beds and an umbrella, it seems the hotel puts a 100% mark up on the price they charge. In the end we walked 300 meters along the beach and found a great beach club charging 14 EUR for two guests and spent our week there with a better beach and great restaurant and bar for lunch. Rooms are good size and bright but the hotel is poorly managed with staff not providing any levels of service. Breakfast is poor and impossible to get coffee. HK vacuuming corridors outside guest rooms late at night, all showing little management of the hotel. There are better options including Hotels with pools that we will book for our next visit to beautiful Sanremo.
