A-Rosa Garda is a hotel that immediately creates a feeling of comfort and relaxation. Set in the hills above Lake Garda near the charming town of Salo, the property combines modern luxury with Italian character and offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, mountains, and lake views. The hotel focuses strongly on design, atmosphere, and guest comfort, creating an elegant and welcoming resort. Our superior double room with a nature view was spacious, well maintained, and comfortable, with an excellent mattress, bedding, and pillows. Soundproofing was good, ensuring a quiet stay. Although the view was mainly over nature with only a limited lake view, the overall experience remained nice thanks to modern design, quality finishes, and thoughtful amenities. Service is a key strength. Staff are consistently friendly, professional, and responsive. Check-in includes a small but memorable gesture with the offering of a rose, which sets a positive tone. Throughout the property, the team shows genuine hospitality and strong attention to detail. The hotel is clearly well managed, with high maintenance standards. Breakfast was excellent. The selection is wide and well curated, including fresh juices, seasonal fruits, cheeses, charcuterie, bakery items, and hot dishes. Quality and presentation are consistently high, and the service is well organised with good replenishment, creating a calm and enjoyable start to the day. The facilities are exceptional and contribute greatly to the overall experience. The main outdoor pool offers impressive views over the lake and mountains, while the second heated pool in the spa area provides a quieter and more relaxing environment. The setting itself is one of the hotel’s strongest assets, with panoramic lake and mountain views visible across many areas. The design and ambiance are also noteworthy. The architecture blends contemporary luxury with Italian influences and decorative details that give the property character. The overall atmosphere is calm, refined, and ideal for relaxation and disconnection. There are only a few areas where the experience could be improved. The main restaurant is overcrowded during peak periods, and dinner reservations are necessary. Unfortunately, nobody informs you of this in advance, and it leads to unnecessary waiting times upon arrival. Valet parking could also be offered to enhance the arrival experience. Overall, A-Rosa Garda delivers an outstanding resort experience. With strong service, exceptional breakfast, impressive facilities, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, it stands out as one of the most impressive luxury properties around Lake Garda and offers excellent value for the quality provided.

Our stay at A-ROSA Lago di Garda in Salò was simply wonderful from start to finish. We spent five nights as a group of three on a half-board basis, and already from the booking process everything felt effortless and professional. A special thank you to Philipp in reservations for his fast, friendly responses — it gave us confidence before we even arrived. Arrival was warm and personal. The reception team greeted us with genuine friendliness (a particular shout-out to the lovely lady with glasses and to Izabela at check-in), our luggage was promptly taken to room 569, and parking in the underground garage was easy and convenient. The hotel itself is stunning — breathtaking views over Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains, beautifully heated indoor and outdoor pools, and a spa area where you can truly relax. The spa staff were welcoming and attentive, which made our wellness time extra enjoyable. Half-board was an excellent choice. Every evening the dishes were beautifully prepared and varied, and as vegetarians we were delighted to find more than enough tempting options. Matteo deserves special thanks for guiding us to our regular dinner table on the first night and personally greeting us each evening — such a thoughtful touch. Rebecca, Andreas and the whole restaurant team provided warm, attentive service throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful every morning with excellent bread, a great selection of fresh products, and the option to have eggs made exactly how you like them. Bianca’s cheerful morning greetings were a lovely way to start each day. Our room was spotless on arrival and maintained very well throughout the stay. Housekeeping regularly restocked coffee and drinks, making everything comfortable and easy. One afternoon we were able to sit outside despite the season not being fully underway — enjoying food and drinks with a breathtaking lake-and-mountain view was unforgettable. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle into town at set times was also a convenient extra. If I had to suggest one small improvement it would be the addition of tissues in the room and a touch more attention to dust on the floor. These are minor points in an otherwise outstanding experience. Overall, every member of the A-ROSA team made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Between the incredible location, the excellent food (especially for vegetarians), the relaxing spa, and the truly friendly staff, this stay left us full of praise. Bravo — we hope to return soon!

Wow, what a beautiful anniversary trip. We had never visited Lake Garda before and came across ARosa hotel online and fell in love. We didn’t arrive till late and were still greeted with a smile and me and my daughter given a rose each. The smell in the lobby is gorgeous. I must say it was a really nice touch having the receptionist walk us to our room. The room was huge , even with a put up bed for our daughter being in there. It’s a really nice addition to have the water refilled each day along with the Coca Cola. The hotel breakfast was the highlight for me, I’ve never seen so much fresh fruit available and being able to make your own juices / ginger shots was a great addition. All the food we had in the hotel was superb, we paid one night to try the half board dinner restaurant and it was delicious. The only let down i feel is the pool bar, it really needs a manager / someone over seeing the running of it day to day. The kitchen always seems very stressed and the waiting staff a bit lost. We had the bruschetta one afternoon and it was burnt at the bottom, no where near the quality from our evening before. I had a lovely walk and 5km run from the hotel down to Salò. It’s pretty steep going down and coming up so I wouldn’t recommend it for a leisurely stroll , especially in the heat. The free hotel shuttle bus down to Salò was a nice addition which we used once, just make sure you book it the night before. There was never an issue to get a sun lounger and the spa being family friendly was really nice, meaning we both got to have massages and enjoy the saunas. All of the staff were friendly, although I did ask reception if they could help us with hiring a car and they said they couldn’t, luckily we managed to find one our selves through Google who dropped it to the hotel for us. We drove easily to Sirmione, 45 minutes, Limone and Riva del Garda. All beautiful and worth the trip. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing holiday together as a family. We will return in the future. My feedback for the hotel for improvement: It would have been good if someone could have shown us/ explained how the AC works, we didn’t realise until after the receptionist had gone and it was already late. There isn’t enough shelving in the shower , it’s already full of hotel products so no where to put your own shampoo, razor etc apart from on the floor. A box of tissues would have also been nice in the bathroom. The pool bar service is too slow and not in line with the rest of the hotel. When ordering room service, reception needs to be more competent. We twice asked for nuggets and chips and the nuggets and chips came but also with a plate of chips. There was also never any ketchup and it took hours for someone to come and remove the tray from outside the room, sometimes it was even still there the next morning. For the spa, I have never known a hotel not make it aware that they have male therapists. I did feel uncomfortable with this. It would have been nice if someone was there to greet you on the door in the lobby and help you with your bags to / from the taxi.
