The hotel is well maintained, clean and the staff are all exceptionally friendly helpful and accommodating and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Unfortunately building work is going on to the side of the hotel which does affect relaxing at poolside and we came across guests whose rooms were affected. Luckily for us our room wasn’t on top of work and with balcony doors closed you could hardly hear it at 7am. Note package holiday and tour operator sent email 2 weeks prior, to update us- it clearly has been going on for many months and personal should have had a disclaimer. Luckily for us didnt spoil our trip. Hotel offered beach loungers free of charge at the lake which we utilised on our rest days. Take beach shoes as pebbled beach and difficult to go into lake without them. Rooms were kept spotless and housekeepers did a great job. Beds very comfortable. Staff immediately accommodating upon arrival when we requested for beds to be single and was spilt within 2 hours of our request. Lacks drawer space, but we managed to work round this. Free safe and mini fridge in room. Even was provided with hotel beach bag, no charge for beach towels and can change daily at any time the pool is open. Breakfast was plentiful and wide variety of choices- fresh fruit including beautiful strawberries ( maybe the season we travelled). Again staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and if visited this part of lake would stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a pleasure.

“Great stay at Villa Rosa”

Despite some building work next door and overlooking the pool it did not damper our stay at Villa Rosa, hotel staff all realty friendly and helpful overall service in both bar and restaurant excellent. Would definitely recommend a stay

The hotel was in a good location, comfortable, clean and with friendly staff. The hotel was highly recommended to us and we liked the fact Desenzaro had railway access to travel to Milan, Verona and Venice. We requested a superior room with a walk in shower at the time of booking directly with the botel. This request was provided and we were satisfied with the room. However, upon arrival we found that our room overlooked a construction site next door which the hotel had not advised us about when we booked. Unfortunately we could not sit outside on the balcony or make use of the swimming pool and sun loungers due to the constant noise, tower cranes operating above the pool area and the dust circling around everyday. We complained to the receptionist who informed us that they do not advise customers when they make a booking about the construction works being carried out at an adjacent building. Had they informed us prior to our arrival we would have booked a different hotel - obviously this is why we were not informed and not given an option to look elsewhere. The hotel offered us the use of headphones to block out any noise whilst using a sun lounger or the use of 2 sunloungers with a parasol on the pebble beach across the road by the lake. We felt that this was totally unsatisfactory and they did not take into account the lack of health and safety regarding the tower cranes and the dust circling around. We have been to Lake Garda 4 times and unfortunately we were very disappointed on this occasion.
