We were four friends who stayed 4 nights in Villa Rosa Hotel as a belated 40 years celebration, and we had an amazing time. The hotel is not very big, it's beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and attentive, especially Francesca and Andrea in reception. They assisted with booking cars and wine tour, and were lovely. The breakfast was plentyfull, and nice touch with the prosecco! The pool area is just the right size, plenty of sun loungers and towels provided. The only negative - which is not the hotel's fault - is the building work going on next door. The drilling sounds were loud, and we all had a sigh of relief when they were done for the day by 1730 ish. The rooms were clean and big, and elegantly decorated. The complimentary toiletries were a bit basic, and I was glad I had my earplugs, as I had a room by the elevator and the sounds of other guests carried. There is also some traffic around the hotel and deliveries happening, but with the earplugs this was not an issue. The beds were very comfortable! This is a very lovely and classy hotel, with the clientelle being mostly couples and families with big children. Desenzano is a lovely base for Lake Garda, it's beautiful and calm, and after a day in the gorgeous but very touristy town of Sirmione, it was a relief to come back to Desenzano.

“Five days in May”

A very enjoyable five night stay at the Villa Rosa. Well furnished clean room. Of particular note was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel team. The only downside to our stay was the adjacent construction site. But no fault of the hotel.

First visit to lake Garda Beautiful hotel, ideally positioned overlooking lake Garda If you are looking for fine dining the restaurant won’t disappoint, if not then restaurants in Desenzano offer alternatives or a visit one of the neighbouring villages Sirmione or Peschiera del Garda can be reached via the local ferries, we opted to hire a car, the hotel has some free parking and a secure underground car park(charges apply) Breakfast was pleasant and offered nice quality foods, outdoor seating and indoors available. The hotel offers x3 bedroom styles - we upgraded for a superior room with garden/ pool view (on the left side facing hotel) most unfortunately at present 2026 there are extensive renovations taking place at the adjacent building (pool side) and a new build to the rear of the hotel, the hotel offers sunbeds next to the lake opposite for those who find the builders overwhelming - during our stay the builders were noisy 7/7 and x2 large cranes were on site- all unfortunately out of Villa Rosas control but sadly not a great first impression..BUT the hotel is stunning with attentive staff working as hard as possible to make all visitors stay a relaxed environment Would i recommend- simply that’s a yes

A well-located hotel in a quiet area overlooking Lake Garda, about 15 minutes from the town centre. A small hotel with well-maintained facilities. An excellent and varied breakfast with a selection of high-quality ingredients. The room is small, with a good mattress; the bathroom is adequate but has little space to store toiletries for two people. The superior rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have a limited side view of the lake and face trees. The outdoor area is relatively small. Small swimming pool with a few sun loungers. There is a small free outdoor car park for 8 cars and a covered car park, which is subject to a charge. Construction work is currently underway on an adjacent development.
