We stayed one night, and it was very nice. Our room was ready when we arrived and it was a very nice upgrade. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is a short walk to the lake (across the street). We had a nice walk, but it was very windy and the boats were not running. It was a LONG walk into town and we ended up taking a bus back to the hotel (Uber was going to take too long). The bartender was spectacular and made AMAZING drinks. He was quite a character (in a good way). Very funny and engaging.

“Great property, poor customer service”

Stayed at Hilton Hotels & Resorts during a 10-day trip in Italy with my family (13 people). We had 6 rooms booked for 12 people. Due to an honest mistake, my 5-year-old child was not included. I acknowledge this was our oversight. However, the way the situation was handled showed a lack of customer-oriented service. I was first offered a suite for €590. I declined and asked for a reasonable solution, but the only alternative was another room for €500. At the same time, I found a comparable room on Expedia for around €300. I also requested to speak with a supervisor, but this was denied. At the restaurant, I wasn’t allowed to order from the kids’ menu, even though I was willing to pay. This was not just about pricing — it was about the lack of flexibility and willingness to help. For context, I have over 12 years of experience in the tourism industry and have managed travel for more than 3,000 clients. I understand the difference between policy and service — and this was not hospitality. That said, the hotel itself is magnificent: great rooms, excellent facilities, and very good service from the bell staff. Overall, disappointing due to service, not the property.

“Expectations met for a price . Nothing special .”

Our 3rd day now, checking out tomorrow ( 2-5April). The lounge - lobby area is spacious but reception is is very small and cramped. I love the cleanliness and the space allocated in the lobby area. Our 3rd day now, checking out tomorrow ( 2-5April). The lounge - lobby area is spacious but reception is is very small and cramped. I love the cleanliness and the space allocated in the lobby area. Terrace 241 , view is what they have great advantage of. Food is alright. It must be that it is Lake Como and Easter hence the price of 600CHF a night without breakfast . Room is basic but more spacious that the regular Italian sizes which re pretty small. Breakfast is ok. Not sure what the big noise about the breakfast being superb as again , it was nothing special. We ordered an extra ( for 8 euro I think ) sunny side up fries eggs and waited 20 minutes - we were almost finished eating and had to cancel it as it came too late, the other table who came after us had their eggs served before us (??). Odd . Additionally there is high pitched peeeeping sound whenever you get on or off the lift . It is VERY disturbing to one’s hearing . I asked the reception after 3 days what is the sound for . I was told that’s for those who have a hearing problem , and I asked her … what about those who don’t have a hearing problem and might consist a higher percentage of people who gets more triggered because of the high pitched sound. I asked if there’s an alternative sound that can serve as help on both sides - maybe a not so aggressive sound ? Other than that - it’s a good place , as what one expects from a Hilton chain.
