“Excellent stay”

Great hotel Nina super location. Staff were excellent and room was very comfortable. We got a pleasant upgrade too. Made our anniversary trip all the better.

This wasn’t our first stay at the Radisson Collection Santa Sofia, and certainly not our first TripAdvisor review for this wonderful hotel, but returning again after a couple of years reminded us exactly why we loved it so much in the first place. The hotel still feels just as warm, welcoming, and homey as ever. During this stay, we visited the rooftop restaurant, Sali, twice, and both experiences were absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious every single time, and the service was impeccable. It’s truly one of those places you keep wanting to come back to. A very special thank you goes to Shiama, a true miracle worker, if we may call her that! Her attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care made our stay ten times better and made us feel incredibly valued throughout our visit. This trip was especially meaningful for us, as my husband proposed to me 12 years ago on May 25th, and ever since then, we’ve made it a tradition to travel somewhere together every year to celebrate. We’re so happy we chose to return here for such a special occasion. Thank you to the entire team for making our anniversary trip so memorable once again!

“Excellent location”

Lovely hotel. Really nice bar area on the ground floor. Well decorated. Very aesthetically pleasing. We couldnt check in on arrival but when we came back we were told we had been upgraded. Lovely hotel. Really nice bar area on the ground floor. Well decorated. Very aesthetically pleasing. We couldnt check in on arrival but when we came back we were told we had been upgraded. It was a corner room. Slightly bigger. Lots of windows. Room was very well presented. Kettle and pod machine. Slight annoyance was being out all day to come back at 5 to chill for the room to not have been cleaned. This is there normal? On the first day when we came back in the evening we had the turn down service but the other two nights not as this seems to be done when they clean around 5pm? There is a seasonal pool. It is available when the weather is warmer but the way to it is random. It seems to have been added as an afterthought. It’s a sort of emergency exit to get out to it and you have to call reception for someone to come and open the door. Anyone already outside has been trained to not answer the door no matter how loud you bang it. Getting out is straight forward. Pool not heated but ok on a warm day. Floor 7. Rooftop bar. Amazing. We went up on Saturday via the single lift that won’t work until 6pm when it opens. We planned to return the next two days as the weather was lovely. Alas not. None said it was closed to Tuesday. A compensatory bottle of fizz appeared in the room which was nice but the rooftop bar was excellent with very pleasant staff. Would have had happily sat there each evening for an hour or three. Drinks and the food seem reasonable considering it’s a 5 star hotel. As a Radison member you should get 10% off….. I didn’t as I forgot to ask. Breakfast was lovely. You order a hot choice from a menu. Takes a bit of time to come out. The selection is quite extensive for the buffet. Really very good. I tried a sauna on one day. It’s tiny. 3 to 4 people size. It wasn’t on and a cleaner did switch it on but it has coals that need to warm and the water bucket was empty. Not sure why this isn’t being used. Ten mins walk to cathedral. 15 mins to the castle. 15 mins to the canal. The Metro is across the road though and a doddle to use. On two occasion we went out we were literally the only people in the station! Over all it’s a lovely hotel. Very well located. Lovely staff and beautifully presented. I would have liked to get to the rooftop bar more, had easier access to the pool and used the sauna. Would happily return though.
