“Ideal hotel for touring the area.”
My Wife and I and two friends stayed at the City Hotel Varese, we found the hotel clean and tidy and ideally situated for trains and buses. “Close to city”
It was easy to find, but really hard to reach by car as there were a lot one way streets. So be accurate when you arrive. Good garage for car. Clean and good hotel. We were at the top floor and the room was quite new. Breakfast was average.

The City Hotel in Varese is very well placed for the Stazione. Do not be fooled by its self-rated 4*’s though. No ironing facilities in the room, which, as a business traveller is very inconvenient. “Avarage but good enough”
The hotel is located in the city center and there is a small carpark under the hotel for €10 per night. We got room 302 which has a very big balcony which was nice.
