14th century religious building, in the historical centre of town in the main square of Urbino. The finest-looking hotel in Urbino, it is situated only a short distance from all the most important monuments and museums of the town. The sixteenth-century rooms of the monastery have been converted into comfortable lounges. In the corridors there are Renaissance windows from which you can see the ancient church of San Domenico. The old church, with a lunette by Luca della Robbia and other magnificent original masterpieces is used as a congress, conferences and exhibition centre. The hotel encloses an inner monumental court, with an old roman cistern and rosary where breakfast is served during the warmer months. The hotel is also enhanced by original contemporary sculptures of masters such as Marotta, Gentiletti and Sguanci. Ample parking space, room service and lifts are available.
