This apartment was rented for my boys and I before a football match. It is 1 bedroom but the sofa bed in the living space is very comfy. We stayed for 2 nights and it had almost everything we needed. I would recommend more glassware and a bigger kettle. The apartment bathroom felt quite luxurious with large walkin shower (Rainforest shower head). Good towels and adequate selection of toiletries. The small supermarket across the street is handy for snacks. Down side is electric is off whilst you are out so you can’t recharge you tech whilst you are exploring the city. Overall good value and very comfy and a great alternative to mid priced hotel at only €270 for 3 people for 2 nights.

If I lived permanently in Turin I’d be very happy to live here. I have now stayed twice, on my own in mid-winter and with my wife in spring. The aparthotel is close to Porta Nuova station and within easy distance of all the visitor attractions of central Turin. Do make sure you understand reception opening times and note that they’re closed between 12 noon and 2pm. They will store luggage. If you arrive from Corso V Emmanuel in the dark, look for the arched entrance just before the bank. If the gates are closed there’s an entry phone to the side. If they’re open, go through into the courtyard, turn left and the door to the apartments (another entry phone) is in front of you. Have faith, the system works! There can be a slightly edgy feel after dark in the surrounding streets but no more so than near many big railway terminals. Inside, there was slight noise from the flat above, but I guess that’s a hazard of apartment blocks anywhere. My apartment was peaceful (it faced the courtyard) secure, warm, very comfortable, spacious and had just the right equipment for self-catering. Groceries and fresh fruit and veg can be bought just around the corner. Within a 10 minute walk there’s a small supermarket that’s open even on Sunday evenings. There are plenty of restaurants too, and most of them won’t break the bank. Highly recommended.

Once used to the style of apartments in Turin in terms of its height, dimensions and garage system, this particular hotel is quite decent. Giving out nicely-wrapped Christmas presents to kids is also a great gesture. The rooms, each featuring a kitchenette are actually quite small, but they do have all the equipment and utensils for proper cooking. The facilities in each room are decent even though the TVs are the size of computer monitors. In fact, cooking is done in many apartments so the corridors would smell of food nightly in the absence of an effective exhaust system. The major drawback, though nothing the hotel could do about, is the dodgy surroundings. Just like much of Turin, graffiti is widely spewed and the streets are not exactly clean, with so many families walking their dogs. The streets also see many rubbish bin containers parked alongside cars. Every late night there are noises coming from the streets due to drunken people from the nearby pubs. There were no incidents while we were there especially with frequent patrols from police cars but it does present a dark and uneasy setting. Perhaps it really is better off staying in a standard hotel.
