“Great location to visit all of the jey site”

The location is perfect and public (but not free) parking is 200 meters away. Room was spacious and clean. Free wifi worked well. There are many restaurants nearby and cafes. Staff is very friendly as well.

We stayed at the Residence San Domenico while participating in the Masters World Games Tournament in Torino - for womens soccer. The location was ideal - we were in walking distance of everything, the market, the shops, the restaurants, museums, etc...in Torino. It was nice to be in an apartment - since we had 10 nights there - it gave us lots of room. The Residence is fascinating in that every single room was different and had different character. Hard to explain. Ours had high ceiling and a loft as well as a bedroom. Others had low ceilings, or high ceiling no loft. I was amazed how different each room was. The only complaint I have is our room with the high ceiling - meant that the air conditioner could not reach the bedroom and the loft. It really only cooled the living room area. Which meant we did not sleep well. You can open the balcony doors - but then you discover that Italy doesn't go to sleep until 3:00 AM. Not good if you had a morning soccer game. We were there in August - so the hottest time. Other rooms did not have that problem - some had the air conditioner in the bedroom, others did not - but the low ceiling kept the entire area cool. Simone and Rossana (Roxanna?) were wonderful! Both were very helpful in our requests from drying racks for our clothes, to recommendations etc. Roxanna helped reserve a hotel for us in Stresa on Lake Maggiore. She was wonderful! Paolo (who speaks no English) introduced us to Angelo who owns a delicious restaurant across the street. Our favorite place to eat!

“Very central, very friendly”

The room was quite big and located perfectly in the center of the city. We could walk everywhere. Unfortunately, there was no parking. Would have been good to know in advance. The pictures of the rooms on the internet do not reflect the real condition. However, it was clean. What made it all up was the gentle and more than friendly staff, especially Giorgia who helped us beyond all expectations and beyond the scope of her workfield. Thank you once again! Claudia :-)

“Close, but no cigar”

For the most part I found the residence to be quite good. There were however a couple of minor issues. For instance, If you plan on cooking at home every night I would recommend looking for something with a better cooking facility. For the most part I found the residence to be quite good. There were however a couple of minor issues. For instance, If you plan on cooking at home every night I would recommend looking for something with a better cooking facility. The pans are old, the stoves are positioned horribly, and the tools are very limited. This makes self-catering all the less desirable. The staff is quite friendly for the most part, except for the receptionist who was in a couple occasions very rude! (Specifically when I was trying to use the washing machine… that needs to be “reserved” in advance) In fact the only reason I am taking a star off this review is because I felt that considering the cost of the room, I would at least expect proper treatment.
