Nice hotel. Nice location, staff was very friendly helpful , the changed us the room immediately because of window problem, gave an upgrade , bathroom was clean .internet was fine breakfast good .i highly recommend to stay there

The hotel is in a high-ceilinged old building, well maintained. The room was decent sized and clean, the bed was comfortable with good quality linens. Most staffs were friendly and willing to help, except one or tow of them who were rather cold and unwelcoming. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast buffet which was excellent, offering vast selections of freshly prepared hot food, cold cuts, fresh fruits, pastries and refreshing bar snack items. Wifi was very fast.

We have just returned from spending Christmas in Siena, staying at the NH Hotel. After reading through the reviews here we were a little apprehensive but we were not expecting a 5 star luxury hotel anyway. I thought that I should leave a review to balance out the pros and cons. We booked a superior room with balcony, which was allocated on a high floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the football stadium. I expect this was much quieter than the rooms at the front that overlook the busy street and bus terminus. The room was reasonably spacious and we were able to have the door to the balcony open to cool it as the room was very hot, even in December. We found it to be clean and comfortable, although, as others have mentioned, it is starting to look its age and is a little scuffed and knocked around the edges. The hotel lobby was simply but beautifully decorated for Christmas. a cheerful welcome. All the staff we met were very friendly, approachable and helpful. The two young women on reception and the three utterly charming breakfast room ladies made our stay more enjoyable. We opted to forgo housekeeping one one day and in return received a voucher for a soft drink or beer at the bar. As we ate in the bar on Christmas Day we used the voucher for a bottle of sparkling water, which was very useful. The location of the hotel is very good, easy walking distance to the old city area sites and also to the railway station (using the escalators to get up and down the hill). I would say that this hotel offered good value for money, a comfortable stay and a convenient location for a visit to Siena.

The hotel is fine and confortable rooms and very well situated. Bar opens only at 7 which i find should be earlier in this type of hotel. However here is my experience. I have a bad back problem so after a long day we were resting on the couch in the lobby and removed my shoes, had socks on, and put my leg up on the couch and was rudly said by a young man to put down my leg. The best is the next to us there were 8 people at a table eating chips, samdwiches and beer and having a picnic in the lobby. Is that acceptable? When we checked in they said if we did not want room service we would get a voucher a a free drink at the bar and I asked any drink, which she confirmed YES. When arriving at the bar , I asked for a Aperol Spritz the bar man said with the voucher it is wine or beer.
