Perfect location. A block from Ponte Verde bridge and walkable to most everything. Modernized boutique hotel with friendly staff who thankfully spoke English which saved them from hearing me butcher their beautiful Italian. Our classic room was small but ample with good shower and complete with AC and a TV with a couple English news channels and MTV Cannot say enough about the beautiful Breakfast space on the 7 th floor with everything you could possibly need. Even made to order eggs! Laura greeted us each morning and worked tirelessly to keep everything stocked and tidy while tending to guests. My ONLY disappointment was the blow dryer which looked like a vacuum tube hanging on the wall and frankly would only be useful to those with short hair. I really did try. The shining light was a loaner hair dryer at the front desk. Area tips: the Gelato across the way was great and Carpe Diem around the corner had amazingly calzones and sandwiches under 10 euro. Shopping off the main streets we found the same items often 25% cheaper.

“Perfect hotel for deep sleepers”

This hotel is just a couple hundred feet from the Ponte Vecchio. The location was fantastic for our trip - especially getting to the Uffizi, Boboli Gardens and that area. This hotel is just a couple hundred feet from the Ponte Vecchio. The location was fantastic for our trip - especially getting to the Uffizi, Boboli Gardens and that area. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Prices are reasonable. We had a room with a balcony which was nice to sit on and watch the crowds walk by on the street below. Our balcony on the 2nd floor was much smaller than the rooms on the floor above us. We had a hard time sleeping from the noise coming up from the street below. There are people at all hours of the night coming home from the bars, and the morning routine of deliveries, street sweepers, etc all started very early. We could hear it all and the rooms are not well insulated. Because of this, I wouldn’t stay here again. The shower floor is the slipperiest thing I’ve ever tried to use and the shower is separate from the bathroom and right in the middle of the room. This was awkward - even for a married couple- haha! I’m glad we did not prepay for the breakfast as it was costly and after taking a look at it one morning, not very appealing. Finding a cappuccino and cornetto each morning was a much better option.

Overall a good value imho. Larger rooms than our hotel in Sorrento, which was great! Location was also great, near the Arno River and only about a 20 minute walk to most of the things we wanted to experience. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, and their English was pretty good across the board. The breakfast on the terrace was included in our room rate and was really good - eggs made to order (including delicious omelets), many fruits and pastries, and even smoked salmon and more traditional European breakfast foods. I would say the variety and quality of breakfast items made it an excellent start to each day. For us Americanos the shower in the bedroom wasn’t ideal but, when in Florence….. The only other negative I would say is there was an odor throughout the stairwell and hallways that wasn’t pleasant. But again, overall this was a very good place to stay, especially for us folks who don’t spend a lot of time in our hotel room and simply want a clean, welcoming place to stay while touring around. Many thanks to the staff for their hospitality!

We first stayed at this hotel with other family members in July, taking two rooms. The hotel is well situated, within a couple of minutes walk from many of the major attractions Florence has to offer. The rooms are adequate for two, but the outside noise at night does not seem to disappear until well after 2:00am Our first stay was incident free, but when we tried to change our dates for a return stay in August due to a medical issue, we were treated like we didn’t exist. Yes, we were just outside the period of making changes by two days, but when you have a medical emergency happen, at least you would think the hotel would be accommodating, especially seeing as how we were there the month before. The receptionist was outright hostile to me on the phone, she did not want to help, and said words to the effect, “you don’t come, we give the room to someone else” As it turned out, she did us a favour as we booked with an old favourite and were greeted with care and respect when we arrived We lost quite a bit of money on this occasion but let’s say, there are better options to be had in Florence
