We opted for this apartment, located across the river from the downtown and touristy areas. It was a 15-20 minute walk to things like the Duomo and Porte Vecchio. We stayed in the suite which had access to a private rooftop courtyard and a terrace above. We had similar views of Florence that the Piazzale Michelangelo has (just a bit lower). The apartment came with a small kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, drip coffee maker and a pod coffee maker and a microwave). You have access to modern laundry facilities off the common area in the basement (came in real handy as our travel prior to this was spent in hot temps and multiple clothing changes) Our suite has a master bedroom with en-suite bath. There were two smaller bedrooms (great for storing our clothing out of our room) and a second bathroom at the front entrance. Many restaurants and small shops very close by and grocery was only 15 minute walk away.

It might seem as though I only write positive reviews. But I spend a huge amount of time and effort organising our trips, paying special attention to where we sleep. I read all the reviews, search for photos and videos, and compare prices. So, back to Serristori Palace. Once again, I can only praise it. We had a nice, large apartment that was spotlessly clean. The furnishings are modern, the apartment is air-conditioned, but the design is historic—high ceilings, cornices, curtains... I realy liked it. Breakfast is not included, but the room has a kitchenette and dining table. The building is located by the river and close to the centre, so you can go out for breakfast or buy something to eat. There are countless places to eat well in Florence. The reception staff were friendly young people with very good English. If you arrive early or leave late, you can store your luggage in the designated room. In the basement, there are communal areas with a water cooler and a soda machine, which we made good use of due to the intense heat. Everything is clean and looks quite new. You can drive right up to the hotel to unload your luggage. We parked our car nearby at Garage Tintori (paid, covered). Parking on the streets and driving into the centre is generally quite restricted in historical Italian cities, so we played it safe and booked parking in advance.

This place is fantastic. The deluxe room is HUGE. Two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and sitting area with ten foot ceilings and hardwood floors. This place is fantastic. The deluxe room is HUGE. Two bathrooms, kitchen, living room and sitting area with ten foot ceilings and hardwood floors. A full king bed and pull out sofa that was decently comfortable. A little less than 30min walk from the train station. Close to town and all of the attractions and restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

this was the end of our African holiday as we wanted to unwind in Florence. pictures and location listed are pretty much what you get. the is an elevator to the last floor, this a set of steps once inside the penthouse to reach to living quarters. had this just been us 2 everything would have been fine. a couple of family members decided to join us as there were 2 available rooms - which we referred to as the monk rooms. unfortunately, they both became sick and needed the guest bathroom with is down a flight of stairs. none of this has anything to do with this property, but if I had small children I would think twice about renting the penthouse with the bathroom downstairs. the kitchen area is nice sized. Master suite is huge and with the ensuite bathroom this was the nicest place we stayed at. I wanted a view of the Arno River and from the upper patio we enjoyed every night sitting there watching the lights come on and the people clear out. we not so young anymore so the walk was a bit much at times, lesson learned for future. reception people were very helpful and friendly. this is a really nice apartment building in Oltrano.
