Our three nights at Tornabuoni Suites in the Terrace Suite were wonderful. Before our arrival, Tornabuoni reached out for guest details and our arrival time. Be aware that the staff are not on site 24 hours a day, so if you arrive after their check-in window (3:00 –7:00 PM), you’ll do a self check-in. When you check in, you’ll receive two sets of keys to your suite and the code to the front door to enter the building after hours. There is an elevator to take you up to the 5th floor of the Tornabuoni Suites office and rooms. If your room is on the 6th floor, like ours, you’ll have to walk up another flight of stairs as the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor. The Terrace Suite is a charming Florentine apartment with one bedroom, one bathroom, a living area with a sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a large terrace. The bedroom had a queen/full-size bed, two small nightstands, a full-length mirror, and a TV. The bed and sofa bed were okay, and there were large closets in the hallway and living area for clothes and storage. We had a nice view of the iconic red tiled rooftops from the bedroom and bathroom, and heard the church bells in the mornings. We didn’t cook, but the kitchenette was nice with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove top, cookware, dishware, etc. The bathroom was clean with a decent shower, but it could use an update. The terrace was spacious and nice, with a large sitting area and dining table. We didn't utilize it as much as we would have liked. The Wi-Fi wasn’t the fastest, but it was fine. They did have AC units in the bedroom and the living area. It’s not the strongest, but we were glad to have it, given the summer heat. There were some ants and mosquitoes here and there in the suite, but since the windows and patio doors had no screens, it’s not surprising that when you open them, some bugs will get in. Overall, the suite was great and offered more than enough space for three adults. It was a perfect location on a quiet street in central Florence, with only a five to twenty-minute walk to famous historical sites, museums, restaurants, and shopping. We would stay here again.

This is the perfect combination of an Airbnb and a hotel. Each Suite is different and feels like a small apartment on the fifth floor of this building in the very center of Florence. So in that sense it is like an Airbnb. However unlike an Airbnb, there is a staff to clean your room, get your laundry done (for a fee), and get you breakfast should you request it the day before. We had the Flora suite which was very roomy with a huge bathroom. I understand some suites do have kitchenettes but ours didn’t. However, given how much great food there is in Florence, we didn’t need it. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The only thing to note is that their regular front desk hours ends at 7pm. If you’re arriving after that, you should let them know in advance. As for the location, everything is within 15 minutes walking. We walked to the Uffizi and Academia from there in less than 15 minutes. You can also walk to the train station in about 10 minutes but it is recommended that you get a taxi if you have heavy suitcases. If we ever come back to Florence, this is where I’d stay. Also, if I come with friends and/or family, we may get one of the bigger suites with the kitchenette that has room for more people.

“Beautiful rooms, great central location!”

Excellent location in heart of city . Short walks to all the sights. Lovely rooms, spacious, beautifully furnished, nice big bathroom with great shower. Host was very helpful and friendly. Just remember that lift doesnt service all rooms so check, Will definitely be back !

“Small Rooms”

The rooms are very expensive. The location is good, but the rooms are really small. Some of our Florentine friends told us there are many better alternatives in the area.
