Hotel Scilla is in Sovana, a beautifully conserved medieval town in the green valleys of the Maremma Collinare. Located at the centre of town, the hotel a short walk from the splendid Pretorio piazza and is divided between three adjacent historic building. Hotel Scilla accommodates all your needs with its own restaurant, private parking, conference and ceremony room, a nine-seat minibus for transfers to and from the airport, and a mountain bike and trekking guide. Sovana is at the heart of the Tufo Cities territory and from our hotel you can easily visit all the main sites and itineraries within the archaeological park. The towns of Pitigliano, Saturnia and Sorano are also only a short car’s ride away.
The Ristorante dei Merli di Sovana restaurant opened in the beginning of the 20th century and remains today a symbol of the town’s rich traditions. Our restaurant prides itself with serving classic local dishes inspired by the Maremman cuisine and taken from recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation.

“A pocket medieval village, a fine hotel”
We hiked here from Sorano. We were the only guests for one night, then we noticed another room occupied on the second night. The room was generously sized including a small couch.
