“Nice place”

One of the nicest hotel that we stay in Orvieto with one small problem they have the hardest pillows ever This boutique style hotel has a great restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included in room price and was plentiful..

“Great for a 1 night stay”

This hotel is on the older side. The beds were comfortable. There were train tracks very nearby and we could hear trains all night. Our room had a balcony and it was nice to be able to open and get some fresh air. It was perfect for a 1 night stay.

We've stayed here one night for a music event in the center of Orvieto. It is in Orvieto Scalo, near to the exit of the highway . We've stayed here one night for a music event in the center of Orvieto. It is in Orvieto Scalo, near to the exit of the highway . You have to take the car or the funicolare to go up to antique Orvieto. Large rooms (we have got a triple room) very clean but a little aged. Staff very kind and helpful. Good Restaurant. Very good breakfast with many type of tipical italian cakes.

First the good part: very good value for your money, the hotel is clean, quiet, with air conditioning, free wifi, free parking, elevator, and very easy to get to it. Beds are a little bit hard but comfortable, bathrooms are a little bit small but modern and functional. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is basic, but ok. Skip the restaurant: terrible service, overpriced food. We arrived late at night but there were still 4 tables being served. I asked the waitress if some food contained eggs (my son is allergic to them) she responded she didn't know. I asked if she can find out, she asked "how". I responded "you can ask the chef and read the ingredients", she responded "you can take this other dish, it does not have eggs". We ordered one pasta to share as apertizer/first course, truffle tagliata, porcini mushroom tagliata, e mixed roast. We also asked for bread and olive oil and small bread plates. She brought in oil and bread no plates, I asked again she said I will bring them she never did. The bread was really bad, hard and dry. Good to produce breadcrumbs. Olive oil was good, but no balsamic vinegar. It took over 30 minutes for our food to come in the meantime 3 of the 4 parties left, so the waitress was not even super busy and spending her time setting up tables. When we finally got the food it was cold sign that has been seating in the kitchen for at least 10 minutes, and came all toghether. The expensive (20 EUR, you can get a 3 course turistic meal for that price elsewhere) truffle tagliata had some "truffles" on top but no taste of truffles whatsoever, the meat was good. Porcini tagliata was good although over cooked and so was the mixed grilled meat (the only one warm). Pasta was cold and forgettable. The waiter came back and asked how was the food: I told her about tasteless truffle tagliata, she did not say a word but she was really pissed. I also told her about the bread, she said that it because of the hot weather. She brought new bread, hard but not completely dried out. My wife ordered a slice of limoncello cake. After watching the waitress for 20 minutes setting up table I told her "if you can bring the cake in the next 5 min fine else bring us the bill" she said she will bring the cake and kept setting up tables. After 5 min she came with the slice of the wrong cake. I told her we ordered something else 25 minutes earlier and to forget about the cake, she very upsetly yelled "I will go to the kitchen and get you the slice of limoncello cake, it takes absolutely no time to cut a slice of cake", thanks for admitting the obvious after making us wait for 25 minutes. We walked away, told the front desk to make sure not to charge us for the cake and went to sleep.
